Today for lunch I had Chicken Spinach Mushroom Panini. When I search, I enter the brand name and description and dozens of entries pop up. When I check the nutrition info, they are almost never correct. One in paticular was 40 calories LOWER than what is written on the box and to me, that's alot. Its very frustrating when I see this and I usually do respond with 'no' in the box asking if it is correct. Does anyone see the responses? Or... Tue, 22 Jul 2014 12:48:12 EST Saving Drink Calories http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34112799 My husband is diabetic and loves orange juice. He may have some, but not in the quantities he'd like. Therefore, to help him enjoy the large quantities, I make orange drinks for him. We use a 16 ounce glass and I put 1/2 cup of orange juice in the glass along with a packet of Splenda and fill the glass up with water. Voila! A sweet orange drink! Obviously, this can be done with any juice. I like to do it with Trader Joe's unsweetened cranberry and blueberry juices. Tue, 22 Jul 2014 12:27:51 EST Opinions of Cliff Bars http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34112747 I just wanted everyone's intake on cliff bars - I use to use quest bars but I didn't like the taste so i switched to the cliff builders bars. The taste is better and its a quick 20g of protein but they are around 200-270 calories which throws me for a loop. I need to make sure i'M getting a minimum of 100-150g of protein per day so with the bar being 20 its a great choice it seems like on the go when i'M going to the gym directly after work but wanted everyone's opinion as well =) Tue, 22 Jul 2014 12:18:44 EST trying to plan meals http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34112714 I'm kind of new to the meal planning thing and not real sure how to go about doing it. I didn't follow the eating plan well because I live in Malawi (Africa) and most of the food required is either very expensive or unavailable here. This time round I would like to try to do better. Any suggestions for substituting: blueberries, shakeology, quinoa, and kale? Is it ok to use almonds instead of walnuts? and chicken breast instead of turkey deli meat? <BR> <BR> Thanks in advance! Tue, 22 Jul 2014 02:53:53 EST Calculator off? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34110105 I found that I enter things and check off other food items and the calculator adds the protein carbs and such but when I manually add it I find it off by a number or so. Example protein:the items were 8 8 2 3 which is 21 but the total showed 22. I found this a fee times. I have to go with what the system says though because it affects the report at the end of the day. Lol Tue, 22 Jul 2014 02:42:59 EST Cheat Day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34109537 I try not to have that many cheat days, although I give myself the weigh-in day as a no-calorie-count day. However, we have a ton of stale bread in the house right now, and I couldn't let the homemade stuff go to waste, so I made bread pudding. It won't completely derail me, but I know my calorie count will most definitely not be on the minus side. Tue, 22 Jul 2014 00:27:31 EST Help!
