I've been doing a lot of google searching and I can't seem to come to a consensus. Do you find a multivitamin helps you? Hinders you? Never taken them?

I ask because through tracking I've noticed a few of my nutrient levels are consistently low (magnesium, potassium, vitamin d and iron). A multivitamin would probably help with those but would it put me too far over in other areas?

Any advice about vitamins would be great! Occasionally, it may be necessary for me to go on doctor-prescribed liquid diets for anywhere from 1-4 days. During that time, I can only have broth, popsicles withou fruit, ice chips, pulp-free juice, etc. Has anyone else here had to do this and if so, did it screw up your weight loss or weight maintenance at all? I'm worried it's going to mess up my metabolism. Wed, 16 Apr 2014 15:39:25 EST How much soy is "safe" I am a 31 year old female with no significant health issues. I would like to know how much soy is safe to consume weekly for me. I love eating edamame and can eat half a bag of the Bids Eye steamer bag in one sitting easily. Is eating this amount every day safe for a snack? Half the bag, according to the nutrition label, is about 2 - 2.5 ounces of the shelled beans. I do not consume any other soy products regularly. Tue, 25 Mar 2014 22:58:03 EST calorie intake fluctuation Hi Guys,
I am currently 140 pounds and I want to reach a goal weight of 125 pounds (hopefully by mid-may, although I'm not so keen on the duration). Since the beginning of february I have lost about 16 pounds (from 156 pounds to 140 pounds), with a good control on my diet (including a cheat meal once a week, or sometimes more than once) and exercise. During the last two months, I used to limit my calories to about 900-1000 a day; however, since then I have read that having such a low cal... Tue, 25 Mar 2014 15:47:37 EST Great low calorie dressing I recently found a dressing at Whole Foods, its Cindy's Kitchen Mango, Coconut and Pepper. It's one of those all purpose glaze, marinade dressing and so on. A one tablespoon serving is only 20 calories so you could double that and still be okay, no fat even. I even mix it with a little ranch for the creaminess with the extra flavor of the dressing. It is pretty spicy at least for me, but I'm kind of a wuss. I just wanted to mention it. So, it does seem more like one of those products that pro... Tue, 25 Mar 2014 15:28:52 EST Trying to lose weight. I am trying to drop from 188 to 175 lbs. Tue, 18 Mar 2014 13:34:02 EST healthy kind of peanut butter? I am almost to the end of a giant jar of Jif peanut butter. When I buy more, I'd like to buy one that doesn't have any saturated fat, but I prefer not to buy the kind you have to stir. I don't really want low-sodium, I don't think it would taste right, and for the record, I like the crunchy kind, but creamy is fine too. What do you buy? Tue, 18 Mar 2014 10:48:31 EST Microwave potato chips Does anyone know how many ounces are in a serving of the microwave potato chips? On Chef Meg's recipe it just says 10 chips per serving but I like to make up a big batch of chips and for me it would be better if I could weigh out the serving amount. Any ideas? Sun, 16 Mar 2014 23:54:23 EST margarine spray actual fat content On nutrition labels, manufacturers are allowed to round fractional amounts down. Sat, 15 Mar 2014 19:12:36 EST I'm new....Need HELP on Food Tracking I created an account yesterday and purchased the Android app today. How does food tracking work? I haven't had time yet to watch videos or read much, so I probably don't understand how SparkPeople works yet. I thought the Food Tracking app would allow me to log everything I eat and keep up with the calories (like MyFitnessPal) so I don't go over. I've committed to clean eating this month and made a really yummy ground turkey salsa meatloaf for dinner. My aim is to cut out all artificial/processed foods, and I was happy that I found a meatloaf recipe that didn't call for any of that junk (even the bread crumbs were made from Ezekiel bread). Then, without thinking, I sprayed my meatloaf pan with Pam cooking spray, poured the meat in the tin, and stuck it in the oven to bake. I didn't realize I had used Pam until the meatloaf was halfway... Fri, 14 Mar 2014 21:08:58 EST Cutting calories but getting enough nutrients!! Hi everyone, the biggest thing I seem to be struggling with is how to stay within my calorie range 1200-1550 and still get all my nutrients. Fri, 14 Mar 2014 15:16:38 EST "Starvation Mode" triggered by lack of calories? Hey there! (First post - so excited!)

I know that your body can be put into "starvation mode" when you don't eat enough. Basically it holds on to the fat because it's not sure when you'll get proper caloric intake again. And this makes sense to me.
My question is more related to lack of calories even if you're constantly eating. I snack pretty much all day and then do an actual meal for dinner(We're talking a minimum of 1200 calories for dinner). Luckily the majority of m...
