My main issue is that my stationary bike does not say how fast I do. It says how many RPM and how many revolutions I have made, but not the mileage. All of the Sparkpeople fitness trackers ask for speed, and I just guess at 10 mph, but I have no clue. I usually pedal at 70 RPM at the highest resistance that the bike... I've lost 40 lbs since giving birth...mostly by running and walking. That's just not enough anymore. I need to kick it up! A very close friend of mine has done 9 programs over the past couple years and had making he loaned me his P90X. I don't want to let him down!!! Any advise and suggestions would be great!! At the moment I am walking 3 times per day and wondered whether it is just as beneficial for weight loss to do this or would 1 long one be better? <BR> <BR> I walk 20 mins at about 10am, then 30 mins at lunchtime and finally I walk my puppy for about 30 minutes in either the morning or afternoon, depending on the weather. <BR> <BR> The 2 day time walks are done at a brisk pace (about 5.4km/hour), if that helps. Why I ? is because my sparks tracker recorder says I have stepped only 3.5 miles. Today was my 25 minutes run and i was dreading it so I did at a slow pace but it did worked my heart rate up. I am not feeling tired and fresh and I am liking this feeling. Otherwise normally I try to push myself so hard that I am tired for 3-4 hours after the workout. But will working at comfortable pace give me results? I work full time and a mom so energy through the day is important for me. I've been searching for this topic/answer but I don't have time to spend looking for it. When I workout my tracker posts more than half the calories LESS than if I look it up on the online fitness tracker provided. Like this morning...I rode my stationary bike for 35 min. at approx 14 mph. If I use the online tracker, it says I burned over 700 calories.
