Sun, 29 Jun 2014 19:22:26 EST Fitness Tracker Progress is Wrong Today is my first day on this site and I have already messed it up. LOL When I went to track my fitness that I completed today (Walk 4.5 miles), I somehow put it in too many times. It says my progress is 15/5 when it should only be 4.5/4.5. Please help! How do I fix this?

Thank you! Sun, 29 Jun 2014 11:19:59 EST Participating in a 4th of July Run? Hi! Are you participating in a 4th of July run/walk this coming holiday weekend in the US? If so, why and what distance? Are you going alone or with family/friends?

I, personally, am running the Excelsior (in Minnesota on Lake Minnetonka) FireCracker Run. I am doing the 10k this year. I last ran it in 2009. I am so excited except for the being really slow these days part. :) We all get to the same finish line and I make those fast people look good. I am running alone but maybe... Sun, 29 Jun 2014 09:16:53 EST How should I count my walking? I walk quite a bit. I have a 15 minute walk to and from work, and I also walk the dog for 15-20 minutes twice a day. I was wondering if I should count this as daily activity or as fitness minutes. Sun, 29 Jun 2014 07:32:09 EST Hills/Running Routine? I live in a hilly area. Anyone have any training/fitness routines on how to work them in, aside from running up and over them at my usual slow jogging pace?
Sun, 29 Jun 2014 02:53:25 EST How hard should exercising be? Since I finally began exercising, in addition to tracking what I eat, I'm wondering just how hard I should be pushing my body to move when I work out. I see people on here doing a heck of a lot more than I am even capable of, and some of them weigh 100 pounds more than I do! It makes me feel like I must be doing something wrong. Either that, or some people exaggerate how much exercise they're really doing. I hate to sound negative, but I have been wondering this for a while now. Sat, 28 Jun 2014 19:28:41 EST How Many Times A day?? How many times a day do you go for a walk for exercise? I plan to walk 2 x a day everyday for an hour each time! its weather is cooler around 5 am hour and 6pm hour Sat, 28 Jun 2014 18:14:56 EST 5K virtual run Has anyone any idea when this will be?

Sat, 28 Jun 2014 17:31:52 EST Mowing Grass - How are calories figured? I mowed our tiny back yard today and wore my HRM (finally got the battery fixed, yay). Out of curiosity, though, I tried the default calories-burned entries to see how they compared. Goodness, it was way off!

The whole back yard only took me 22 minutes, and that included 5 minutes of cool down as I was done, just putting the mower away and walking the yard a bit to bring my heart rate back down.

My HRM said I burned 212 calories in that short 22 minute window.
The... Previously we were given the option to print the workout. I have noticed here lately all the video routines I'm receiving do NOT give that option. While videos are good to workout to - I personally like to print them and take the printed copy w/me to the GYM and use it there. I do not have the option (nor do I wish to) to utilize the dvd/video at the GYM!

Is it possible to get that option ... Sat, 28 Jun 2014 03:57:14 EST Spark Activity Tracker issues I bought the Spark activity tracker a couple weeks ago, and it's been mostly good, though the syncing seems to be pretty buggy. No big deal, that, but today I went for a run and the tracker registered the time, but nowhere near the distance. It's saying I ran .79 miles but Runkeeper logs 2.97 miles, which is way closer to reality than .79 miles. Fri, 27 Jun 2014 10:29:14 EST Strength Training vs. Cardio So have tried recently to be better about what and/or the amounts I am eating although there is still room for improvement. Besides that, I have been working out with a personal trainer about 2 times a week for more strength training such as weights, resistance bands, lunges, squats, planks, abs, etc. I usually only manage at this point to do 2 purely cardio workouts a week of about 30 minutes long (usually aerobics video or walk/jog intervals on treadmill). I have been doing the personal tra... Fri, 27 Jun 2014 09:41:40 EST Lost my Spark Tracker I lost my Activity Tracker yesterday while I was outside working in the yard. I'll be working out in my carpeted living room. When you work out at home do you have to wear sneakers? It doesn't feel right not, like I need the support or something, but I'm so much more comfortable in socks or bare feet, plus I don't love the idea of jumping around with sneakers I wear outside. Thu, 26 Jun 2014 19:06:24 EST When your knees hurt first My knees are always the first place to get tired on my body. I'll admit that I haven't seen a doctor for this, and I probably won't for a while, so I'm guessing, but it doesn't feel so much like there's something specific wrong as just my knees protesting that they're old and tired of carrying around so much weight (I'm 45 and weigh about 220 lbs).

Today was a good example, I walked about 1.5 - 2.0 miles twice today by walking to/from the subway station instead of riding the bus.... Thu, 26 Jun 2014 19:03:18 EST How do I begin Good grief. Walking is simple, right? It used to be before I gained 100 pounds. Now I can't get out of my own way. I'm 5 feet tall and my stride is short. I feel like I have walked a full marathon when I only go a mile. My hips hurt and my back hurts........I feel defeated already. When does this get easier? Its so discouraging.
Should I try another activity instead?? If so, what? Thu, 26 Jun 2014 13:57:04 EST I need some advice I have been training for a half marathon for a little over four weeks. Mon, 9 Jun 2014 16:26:01 EST Do you have a pattern of weight loss? I have, in the past, gotten into the habit of weighing myself daily in the morning.
