WELL, the loss was short lived. By Friday morning back to 159.X and still there today. I can't imagine that Thursday night at Chili's eating 1/2 a bacon ranch quesadilla and a few bites of the cookie sundae should have done that much damage. I had a super small salad for lunch that day to allow for some of that. Maybe with TOM coming any day is not helping.

Today I did a few sets of Iron Core Kettlebell bootcamp.
Monday's will now become my rest days. And kids will be back in school Tuesday SO I can try the jogging again and add in X-factor ST with it.

I will see what the scale is tomorrow, and then be ready for SEPT challenge.

Gee, Beckie. You seem to be well on the weight loss this month. Keep up the good work!

I've had a OK week so far -- but still not losing pounds. I changed up my exercise a bit and am doing a few less minutes per day, but they are more intense. I've gotten the "21 Day Fix" tapes and they are do-able, but difficult for me. So I am feeling some soreness in my muscles as they get worked a little harder than recently, when I have been doing a lot of walking.

I have actually been pushing the veggies lately which is really great for me energy wise. It's amazing how much better you sleep and recover from training when you fuel with the right sources. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. I'm almost to my 4 day weekend.

today I did Bob's total transformation DVD. I did skip a few parts (divebombers, & around the world)

with football practice 4 nights again this week, I have just been having a small salad for dinner.

Man, July fell apart! This summer has been a rough one! Pain has been off the charts! Hoping to keep going!

I've been doing really well on the exercise side of the equation lately. In the past week I have done some walking, some kettlebell, some TurboFire, and some general aerobics. I have gotten out some old DVD's and was pleased with how well I was able to do them.

I feel strong and fit for my age (59). In fact, I had an awkward moment at lunch the other day at work as my co-workers were all talking about the aches and pains they feel as they age -- and how they can't be as physically active as they were a few years ago. I decided to be honest and admit that I was in much better shape than I used to be and was able to a lot more now.

But I am not doing so well on the diet side of the equation -- and I am not losing weight. I need to do better. I tried on some fall clothes yesterday and the ones from last year are a little tight. I need to do better.

I have lost 1/2 pound.
Today I went out with a luncheon group for my birthday. I did have dessert, but I had a salad as a man course. This is not easy retraining my mind to choose healthy foods all the time.
Thankfully I track everything I eat and I almost always have a rule that I can have a treat sometimes but must cut back the rest of the meal.
I am still committed, but I am in my 60's now, so it is tougher. But I am doing things like walking
in the kitchen 2 min. while the microwave cooks and parking farther away from stores.

I must be rocking for my age than. LOL

Seriously we need to remember it's a process and as we age things do change and sometimes it takes a bit to figure it all back out. I always revert back to tracking because that's where I find the majority of my issue, I think I'm being good with clean eating but am I really? Have a great Thursday.

sorry didn't post yesterday, but I did do Iron Core kettlebell Bootcamp DVD.
Today I did bob's ultimate cardio workout.

Weight went back up AGAIN! guess I should be happy that I can maintain within 3 pounds. Just wish it was 8-10 pounds lower.

Need to be happy, I don't look half bad for my age.

Trishous - CONGRATS!!! So happy for you!

My weekend was busy & this week has been busy. My eating habits went down the drain due to the weekend's events. I also believe my gain is due to TOM. So, back to square one again & getting back on track. (I feel like a broken record sometimes.)

Here's my results from this week:
Starting weight 7/31/2014 - 219.6
Weight on 8/7/2014 - 219.6 -- Didn't change which is fine by me.
Weight on 8/13/2014 - 220.8 - Gained a pound.
Weight on 8/20/2014 - 222 - TOM & weekend of eating.

Goal Weight - at least 217.6 (setting the goal on the lower end of things.)

Positive attitude & positive thoughts will get me thru this.

I am off to a slow start. But I am becoming aware of exactly where I am snacking too much and not moving enough. I am getting back into the proper mindset, which is crucial for success. But I am only on Day 3, so I need to be patient. Will up my exercise tomorrow.

today I did Jillian's Banish fat boost metabolism cause I haven't done it in a while and it was less strenuous to keep healing my neck / shoulder area. I really wasn't into it like I should have been. Maybe cause first thing this morning I was excited when the scale said 158.4! then after breakfast and went to get my workout clothes on it JUMPED to 161!!!! and I tried a few times. I knew it shouldn't be that high. Thank goodness after workout and shower it was back to the 158.

Need to finish out the next 12 days STRONG!!!

Yesterday rest day - Much needed for my neck / upper shoulder has a kink or something sore.
SO today since it's still bad, I did jillian's kickbox fastfix workouts 3 & most of 2 to try and stretch out that shoulder. will need to ice later.

I had a tough weekend. I played too much, ate too much, and did not exercise. However, I
did use the time to think over where I had gotten off track. It began with gradually changing my thinking so as to see of food as a way to soothe negative emotions. Then I started getting away from healthy snacks. Finally, I started getting lazy and finding more reasons not to exercise. This is a deadly combination!!
Today I am pledging to think before I eat and to moving more.

Starting weight - 150
I will post my weight later this week.
If you can do it, I can do it!

Well once again I am returning after a bad weekend. Not even going to bother posting my weight, will give it a few days and then see what the damage really is once the bloating has gone.

7 weeks to the wedding and I just keep eating EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! My arms are disgusting they are so flabby and horrible but with weirdly big biceps... i'm going to look like an arm weirdo in my dress! that is if I even fit in it by then.

Back to tracking today, already done my cardio workout, I'm going to do an ab workout and create my own upper body strength workout using the spark strength moves to try and tone up a bit but I know 7 weeks is a bit short on time now.

Will update weight in a few days.

Gee, I didn't intend to go a whole week without posting. I just had nothing special to say and kept putting it off. I gained a few ounces in mid-week, but lost it again by the end. So I am hoping to lose another couple ounces over the weekend as I often do and actually post a loss for the month.

This morning, I went for a walk -- about 3 miles in an hour. That's my usual route/pace. As it was hot, I didn't even try to do any running. Now I feel like I need to take a nap this afternoon. But I really have a lot of chores to do around the house.

Thanks! I usually just enter some things here on SP, but I know I leave a LOT of stuff out. Or end up changing what I thought I was going to eat.
If the scale wasn't nice this morning I was thinking I should put it away for a while. But nervous to do that too, cause I know it pushes me to get more control.
Usually summers stress me out with the kids home and them fighting all the time, but this summer I have hardly seen them, cause they are out playing all day long!

Today I did Bob's Cardio Conditioning and used the 30lb kettlebell as often as I could.

Beckie do you keep a journal of what you do for exercise daily, if so you may want to review what you were doing previously and go back to that. Also it may not hurt to write down everything you are eating for couple of weeks and portion sizes you may be surprised to find out that there is some work that can be done there as well. I have journals since I decided to exercise for the whole year and not take any time off like I used to and let's just say I have a lot of journals now. LOL Also you may want to look ahead to an upcoming family event and start making plans to be a certain weight by than, we work better sometimes when we have goals to achieve. Waiting till tomorrow to weight in, have a great Thursday.

Yes, mixing it up can help.
do your best with all the busy things that are going on.

Today I did Jillian's Kickbox fast fix and Did workouts 3, 2 and 1 in that order.

Really TICKED that my weight jumped to 162.4 today. this would be my highest since I lost the weight 3+ years ago. I always have kept between 152-160 TOPS. and was always able to get back close to 155. BUT I have not been able to get that number in the last 6 months! Nothing is working. SUCKS. Guess I just need to keep working on it.

So, not sure what is going on with my motivation & will to keep on tract. Something is going on & I think I'm just getting tired of the same routine. My friend & I discussed how we are worn out from running. So, we went for a good long walk yesterday (4 miles). We're going to keep this up three times a week at least now.

I did a bad thing & bought cookies for our house. Really bad... I've had one a day for sure. My husband & I need to finish it up & get it out of the house!

It will be another busy week this week. Piano student last night & my walk. Tonight is a gathering with friends & eating pudgie pies. Tomorrow is a church meeting for a couple of hours. Friday is the Def Leppard & Kiss concert & overnight at a hotel. Saturday is a get together/birthday gathering for another friend. And Sunday might be a day of rest. I'm exhausted just thinking of it!

Here's my results from this week:
Starting weight 7/31/2014 - 219.6
Weight on 8/7/2014 - 219.6 -- Didn't change which is fine by me.
Current Weight on 8/13/2014 - 220.8 - Gained a pound.

Goal Weight - at least 217.6 (setting the goal on the lower end of things.)

GOAL 8/31 - ANY LOSS will make me happy!

Well, not surprised since we were on vacation last week. scale actually is better than when I first got back which was 162.
We did do lots of walking and hiking Monday. Biked 16-20 miles Tuesday, hiked, walked and lots of steps on Wed., more walking Thursday and even walked at least 3 miles through a moving river, And walked at least 2 miles through sand dunes on Friday. So NOT a lazy vacation, just lots of carbs with choosing grilled chicken sandwiches, chicken flatbread pizza.... only 2 days of ice cream (could have been worse)

SO back to workouts. Sunday was Iron Core Kettlebells warrior 1. Monday rest day since buns were still sore, and needed groceries SO badly, today was Bob Harper's Ultimate cardio but also uses weights.

Scale a little friendlier this morning. I hope to build on that little loss this weekend as I will not be going out to eat or anything. I'll be home alone all weekend and hope to exercise a lot and eat light to give myself a little push. I got off to a good start by taking a long walk this morning and avoiding an unhealthy binge of carbs afterwards.

Having a great start to August as far as weight loss goes. I went to my chiropractor this past week and was told I have tendinitis in my right hip. I haven't worked out really the past couple weeks, just some stretching. She said it's going to take some time to heal and to take it slow and steady. Seeing the scale go down for the week has given me hope that I can still do this.

Good morning all!

This week has been a busy week after work. Cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, & spare room along with the vacuuming in the house, scrubbing the shower the past two days for my brother to spend the night last night. But it was so worth it!

This past weekend, I went back to my hometown Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. It's only a 45 minute drive from my home. I went out with my girlfriends on Friday night for dinner & drinks. Went back on Saturday for a bonfire/drinks & dinner with my girlfriends & their families. Then on Sunday, went to my Mom's to pick some raspberries & spent time with her. Monday night was a night with my husband, we went for a walk. Then Tuesday night, we went to dinner with friends & then I cleaned the house. And Wednesday my brother came. What a week!

Here's my results from the busy week:
Starting weight 7/31/2014 - 219.6
Current Weight on 8/7/2014 - 219.6 -- Didn't change which is fine by me.

Goal Weight - at least 217.6 (setting the goal on the lower end of things.)

For August, my goal is to schedule my work outs in my weeks. I have gotten around to doing this this week, although some of it has been adjusted. I went out for a couple of walks with my husband & mom. I'm hoping to get to the gym tonight.

I wanted to join on time, but got caught up in some other things during the week and weekend. I did weigh myself on August 1st, but not since then. I don't know what is wrong with me. I usually at least weigh myself daily.

Starting weight - August 1 - 332.8 pounds
Goal weigh - August 31 - 327.8 pounds

I know I can lose this much weight if I just put my eating on hold and only eat when I actually feel hungry.

Well I haven't weighed in August yet so I'll just put my final weight for July as my start weight

Only 2 pounds but going to see if I can manage that. Going on last months 0.2 pound weight loss a 2 pound loss would be amazing.

Had my first dress fitting and I'm pleased to say the dress fit PERFECTLY so I've definitely lost inches since I started losing weight again in January woo hooo. I've never been so happy to have a zip do up in my life.

I really need to work on toning up, does anyone fancy doing a fitness challenge or something for the month? I'm thinking along the lines of simply doing some of the spark strength videos (theres a few arm workouts and the core workouts we could choose from) a set number of days a week? Or we could make a strength plan with some of the spark moves (im a big fan of straight leg raises and dumbbell side bends ha) Anyway if anyones up for it let me know and we'll pick a few

My longer term goal is 145 by Thanksgiving, but if I get back with the program, I think I can make it.
My first goal is to cut out sugar -- my sweet tooth is already whining.

Starting weight 7/31/2014 - 219.6

Goal Weight - at least 217.6 (setting the goal on the lower end of things.)

For August, my goal is to schedule my work outs in my weeks. It will be another busy month, but I've got to schedule it in. There will be temptations for the month of not going to work out, but I'm going to stick to my guns. I have to put me first sometimes. :-)

I'm in! I weigh 176.6 today and would like to be 171.6 to 174.6 by the end of August. I'll post every lost pound or ounce (not posting gains, lol).
