This challenge will be ending soon. I think we should have one from Aug 1st to Sept 1 that will be our Labor Day Holiday Goal... 30 days to get fit.
I reached my meal planning, exercise goals. But the scale didnt do the best... so I might as well do another holiday to try and get it right....

5 miles on the bike 2 mile walk. We had spaghetti for supper, had a little more then my goal. But it was one meal. So next meal will be back on my plan. Camping with friends this week.
So should be a good time. Have a good day tomorrow. Remember we are worth it..

I went on a 6 mile bike ride last night... It was great the weather was perfect and everything was so quiet... I may have to go again tonight...
My eating plan so far has been a success this week... watching my carb intake very closely as being a diabetic that is huge.. Good luck to the rest of your day....

After eating at restaurants Saturday & Sunday, my weight went up about .5lb.

After 2 days of strength training & a little bit of cardio, my weight has gone down. Only have .5lb. to my goal! Not sure where that whoosh came from since I didnt really step it up much like I was going to but I will take it. emoticon

Just a quick update. I had a wonderful time on my fishing trip. We caught our limit of steelhead and got the meat put in the freezer. I gained weight like I thought I would. However, yesterday I ate healthy, went to Curves and softball practice, drank a lot of water, and was down 3 pounds this morning. It feels great to be back on track! I'm getting my rear back in gear. Thank you all for being here and have a great and healthy weekend!

I think we are a strong team... Yes we all have our ups and downs, we can not fail unless we quit. So lets brush off and move forward... I got my 3 mile walk in today, using my fitbit.. that sure makes me get my activity on. Sat is my day off.

Hi, I'm back! Well I have to tell you... I have good news and I have bad news. My good news is I WAS able to complete my 3mile run in 28min. I have been working on this goal since January this year. I started with the elliptical and in May took it to the trail. I have been steady with my weight and WAS happy to know with my ability to run the miles and keep increasing length week by week the pounds would melt off. What's with the WAS you ask?? Well for the bad news... I am totally out of any elliptical, trail running, volleyball, you name it for 3, count them 3 weeks!! I ruptured my bursa sac in my heel. I have got to tell you it is painful. I had been having heel pain for around 2 weeks and thought it was from not stretching enough so I was doing extra stretching. not the case I guess I had bursitis and didn't know it. I have some stenosis and calcium build up under my heel bone so this all led up to my demise. I have other foot issues reviled by my X-ray and Dr thinks I should refrain altogether from running. Some of you know this is a big goal for me and I am just devastated. My goal for this challenge is to stay at my current weight and to heal fully.

I have 35lbs to lose. I lost 45 lbs, then I got diabetes, gain 35 back. But I'm in it to win it....

BBENNET- you go on your & have a trip to remember. We will get out of this rut, when you get home. PLEASE!!!!! Don't get frustrated to leave our holiday group! We will get you through this. Some times I think it ok to just step aside. Just for a bit not worry & stress about food & activity. It shows how quick we can fall into the old stuff. So have a good time. We will make plans when you get back!!!!
I miss the ones you started with the valentine day challenge & the holidays up till now. I hope they come back!!!!

I walked my 3 miles, food choices today were good. I got the fitbit for my phone. I love it.

Thank you so much, SUCCESS345, for your kind words. I don't know why I've been struggling so much lately. I just can't seem to stay motivated. I decided not to worry about it yesterday, took the day off from tracking, and gained 3 pounds! Tonight my husband and I leave to stay in a hotel in Oregon tonight and then go on a fishing trip about 3 am tomorrow morning. I know I won't be eating right and exercising during all this disruption in my routine. However, I'm determined to enjoy myself and my time with my husband. I try to tell myself that it may take longer, but I'll still get there, but then I get so unmotivated that sometimes I just don't care. Frustrating, but I guess that's life.

I am having problems losing those 3 lbs. It doesnt help that I cant exercise however I want & when I want since my boyfriend is laid off from work for 6 weeks. He doesnt understand my privacy issue when I want to workout so I am not able to workout whenever I want. Hopefully next week will be better.

I so hear you, about slipping. The difference now is. I don't beat myself up about it just move on. I have missed 3 days of tracking, that is unusual for me. I did shake it off this afternoon went for a 5 mile bike ride, I made good choices for supper. So back on track. Weigh in tomorrow morning.xxxxxx I got myself a fitbit for my phone, I hope that jump starts my activity.
I do lawn trimming 10 hours a week for our business.
I'm here for you, we can help each other get back on track as we are worth it!!

July 5 - 143.5 (gained a few pounds on the 4th!)

Hi! I would like to join this challenge...my understanding is that you make a challenge for every major holiday coming up? If so...that would be Labor Day?

My long term goal is to get down to 155 lbs. especially for my 30th class reunion, in 2015.

My food choices were good all day, after supper I did a nose dive.
Brush myself off. Tomorrow is a new day...
I did get my 4 mile walk in.

That inspires me..
I have planned my meals for 3 days at a time, it's not so over whelming
Plus walking 4 miles with Leslie walking tapes.

I will join this holiday challenge as well. I have reached my original goal of 40lbs. lost & the 4th of July goal. This challenge for me is to lose another 3lbs. to hopefully get rid of more tummy fat.

Welcome....
I made my goal for July 4th. Woot woot. My goal is to lose 4lbs by the 31st.
Going to track, walk with Sat as my day off, drink my water, plan meals 3 days at a time.
