Starting weight 6/30/2014 - 216.4
Weight 7/2/2014 - 217.4 --- I don't know why...
Weight from 7/3/2014 - 7/22/2014 - 222.4
Weight 7/23/2014 - 218.4
Current weight 7/31/2014 - 219.6

Goal Weight - at least 214.4

I am hoping for a loss or now at least back to where I started the month. Any type would be good.

Here's to trying again for next month. Things are a little better at work now, so hopefully the stress will leave there. And August my goal is to work in my work outs.

I think it was believed that the acid in the tomatoes would cut the oil from the oil gland of the skunk but seriously it makes for an even worse smelling dog. The best trick is baking soda, apple cider vinegar, peroxide and dish soap. The dog doesn't smell but she has it in the room on the bedding or something because it still smells, will be cleaning the entire room this weekend to get rid of it. Unfortunately this isn't my first go around with skunk, just the first time with the aussie getting sprayed and not the german. She has been hit at least 3 times since we've had here. You live in the country and this happens, will be spreading some moth balls around the house to deter them getting so close.

Still trying to get down but finding it more difficult the harder I train, still getting smaller and seeing changes. Have a great Thursday, it's almost FRIDAY!!

Just taking a quick mental break from work to read the comments.

Turbo6x2, sorry to hear about your skunked dog. I've heard tomato juice as well, but haven't tried it. (I don't have dog experience.) Good luck.

Magicmarigold, good luck with the wedding dress fitting. I always try to think of the positives & I believe that you'll have that little bit of a loss that you need prior to your wedding. When I went to get my dress fitted after buying it in the store (10 years ago), I unfortunately had to get it taken out. I wasn't too happy, but I wasn't really making an effort to try to lose the weight. The last time I tried it on 4 years ago, I was at 30 pounds less than now & it was big on me. It's amazing at what you can achieve when you put your mind to it.

Beckie, I always think that I have to change up my exercise routine as well. I have been going between walking, wogging, & the elliptical machine at the gym. Of course the evenings have gotten away from me & I haven't been to the gym on a regular basis, only a couple of times a week for exercise. I have to dedicate more time to exercise.

Have a good rest of the week everyone. I'll weigh in tomorrow with my final July's weight.

OH NO!! on the skunk dog. I thought it was tomato juice bath you needed to use. BUT I have never had to do it.

Yes, that one I thought would be good when I jog in the fall. since it's only 30 min, and it's every other day with whatever other cardio you want to do on the other days.

Today was a scheduled rest day, and I NEED IT! I have such a huge head cold right now. I will still do tomorrows workout, cause when I do workout with a cold, I always feel SO much better afterwards. Today is meds!

Beckie you can always try that other program that is 12 weeks or whatever it is long... Mix it up.

Went down slightly, still dealing with skunk dog and trying to get the rest of the smell off her. I did another solution of apple cider vinegar, dish soap, peroxide, and baking soda and it seemed to really cut the oil so the smell is gone. She stinks... Will find out when I get home.

Well I will do my final July weigh in tomorrow but its not looking good... I knew this month would be difficult, 3 birthdays, a wedding menu tasting, (2 takeaways...) and I've basically just maintained which I guess isn't too bad.
Have my first wedding dress fitting on Saturday and I'm terrified they'll say it doesn't fit and they cant alter it! I cant even try it on properly as the zip is broken (BARGAIN ex sample from a shop so just need the zip replacing which is a pretty simple job) I've held it on and I THINK it should do up ok now, it will be quite tight though, maybe they'll be able to loosen it a cm or so....argh now I'm stressing again
I really wanted to get to 140 before Saturday, that's been my goal all year and I'm actually really disappointed I haven't made it. Just because I'm a greedy moo who ate too much cake and pizza!

Nevermind, like I said, I will post my final July weight for tomorrow and keep on aiming for 140. I don't think 4 pounds will make much difference dress fitting wise anyway its just my goal in my head now.

I only jog in spring and fall when my kids are in school. And it helps to shake up my routine for those few months. It's not fast, usually about average an 11 or 12 min mile.

Way to go, Onlineasllou! Overcoming your past running experience & your unfortunate fall is a step in the right direction. emoticon

Believe me, I don't think of myself as a runner. I think of myself as a wogger... walking & jogging combined aka wogging. I don't know if I have high expectations of running more than a 10k, but that may change. I'm always open to the possibilities.

Way too many sweet treats the past few days and my weight is up a bit this week. But on the positive side ... I have started adding a little jogging to my weekend walks. ( I walk about 3 miles on Saturday and Sunday mornings.) When I tried jogging a little in the spring, I tripped and broke my wrist. But I did it a little last weekend and did it a little more this morning. It seemed a little easier today than before.

I have never been able to run - and I have no illusions about becoming good at it. But I am proud of myself for adding a little of it to my workout and hope to continue it.

Good morning all!

Sorry I have been MIA all month. It's been a very bad month especially with my weight. The weight jumped up & I couldn't get it off until Wednesday when I weighed in. I am saying my weight gain is my food choices & the lack of exercise & probably stress. All key factors in my life. So, I won't have much of a loss if any this month, but I'll try again for August.

Here's where I started from:
Starting weight 6/30/2014 - 216.4
Weight 7/2/2014 - 217.4 --- I don't know why...
Weight from 7/3/2014 - 7/22/2014 - 222.4
Current weight 7/23/2014 - 218.4

Actually have been avoiding the scale trying to see if I just weigh in once a week if there is any difference. I would love to lose the last of my weight to hit my weigh in for competition but it's a process. I know I'm training hard and see improvements but the number is stuck. Just keep positive and positive things will follow.

well I weighed this morning (yes I know I shouldn't weigh everyday but I cant stop myself) and I'm back up 2 lbs overnight! sigh

all I did was have a tiny slice of cake for my daughters birthday. I know weight fluctuates all the time, its just annoying to see ha. Going to drink plenty today and hope some of it shifts again. Havent tracked my food for the day yet so I'm off to do that now.

well at least I'm back to my start weight for the month, hopefully will manage a small loss by the end of the month.

I keep thinking I haven't lot any weight at all but actually if I look back at my weights, I've been 171 at my heaviest (non pregnant) since then I've had two children and am now my lowest weight ever so I think I just need to keep reminding myself that there's an almost 30 pound loss all thanks to sticking to Spark.

I'm on that same roller coaster with you, Beckie. Last November, I was down to 147. Then the weather got cold and I my body couldn't handle the temperature drop. My body screamed for fuel all winter (but refused to use it to make body heat). So, I gained about 6 pounds. This spring I gained a couple more. Now I am struggling to get back to 155.

I've done little better the past few days. I just need to be strong and stay disciplined.

Trying a new thing this month.... I'm only weighing in on the first and last day of the month. It's VERY hard not to get on the scale. I noticed though that the first couple weeks I was really careful about my food and felt like I was losing some, but the last few days I've wanted to eat a lot. Trying to keep it in check but it's hard. Haven't exercised much this month unfortunately. And this weekend we have a wedding to go to. Then hubby's 50th b-day on the 29th!! Not a good ending for weight loss!! emoticon

Oh well, never giving up at least!!

weight holding at 160.x SUCKS! the ONLY good part is at least I am maintaining within 3-4 pounds. bad part I KNOW that I was down to 149 back in Nov. and no matter what I do, I cant even get back to 155.

Today W4D2 Fitness is function is completed.

Got the stuff to make zucchini salsa, just need to pick up the zucchini from my mom since it's FREE from her garden. THEN Lots of chopping when I get back!

I'm planning on starting whole30 on Friday (after payday ha) its basically no processed food, pasta, bread, dairy, sugar. My sister has been doing it due to stomach problems and she loves it. the no pasta, bread and coffee thing I'm going to struggle with! I'll give it a go though so ask me again in a few weeks ha

If you're on Pinterest search for whole30 on there and loads of meal ideas come up. Its a lot of sweet potatoes and meat ha

I'm not even going to talk about the weekend eating.. it was my daughters 1st birthday and there was ALOT of cake, infact I'm too scared to weigh today, I'll brave it tomorrow. Have already worked out today, I was planning on a long walk to the park with my children aswell but they were both up most of the night full of colds so today will be a hugging on the sofa day for us I think. Maybe I'll plan some meals for whole30 next week.

I have my first dress fitting next weekend (2nd August) and I'm absolutely gutted with myself for not losing enough weight especially when my dress was tight in the first place. Now I'm facing having to spend a lot more on alterations just to have it taken out an inch sigh.

scale crept back up today. I know I should maybe put it away for a bit, but I am afraid if I do that, that I will gain even MORE. when I weigh daily at least I can reel myself back in quickly. At least with vacation in a few weeks I won't have access to it at all (scary!)

Today was W3D5 of fitness is function kettlebell workout. doing good keeping up with it.

July has been a terrible month for me as far as eating is concerned. I can't seem to stop myself and have been gaining weight. I think the best I can hope for at this point is to get back to my start weight. Work has been stressful lately and well, eating is how I respond to stress.

I've been exercising regularly. But as we all know, exercise is not enough.

Well I have not weighed my self since i started SP on Monday. I can say I feel better for sure !!! still getting use to the morning exercise routine but sleeping harder at night. Now only if I can increase the number of hours I sleep.. lol .. I SO WANT TO GET ON THE SCALES but I do not want to start a unhealthy relationships with the scales. I already have a unhealthy relationship with food. Does anyone know anything about the WHOLE30.. i am seeing a few SP user doing the program. Heard it was good for cleaning out our body and starting over. any suggestions

We always need to keep in mind this is a journey and with that comes the realization this is a life style change not a diet. I am always trying to improve on my menu and my eating habits, I'm not perfect and never will be but I'm better than I was a year ago and I'll take that hands down. Have an Awesome Thursday.

Just started my journey seriously for the last time.. got back from my vacation in Mexico and had gained 8lbs!!!!

In the last 10 days I lost of the Mexico weight and 0.8lb... hoping for 4 more lbs to drop by 31st of July. Hope I'm charged enough by the end of the month,

This is just one last time... And I'll make it well until the end.

I'm a little late to this party, but I was 148.2 July 1 and whoa 148.2 this am. Stuck and tired of it. Hoping this will help. I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong by reviewing my tracker.5 years ago I lost 50 lbs ( down to 140 for 30 sec ) with Spark People over 9 months so I know what to do. Unfortunately as I've gotten older (53) it's creeping back on 2-3 lbs a year despite exercising daily. It's been a big challenge maintaining since hurting my knee and still unable to run since mid-april. I def need this challenge. Thanks!

I hope I can pack some things, at least for the kids more so that we don't have to eat extra times. Hard when it's a whole week, easier if just a few days.

Weight is up today which is expected (TOM, and out for dinner Saturday). SO I hope that it will come back down in a few days. Chugging more water.

I always pack healthy snacks for our vacations now, this way I have some with me and don't have to make bad choices. Then eating out is always a challenge but if you choose the right menu items you can eat out and still eat fairly healthy. It's a matter of choices. We went out for my splurge this Saturday and I felt icky most of Sunday because I didn't eat healthy and my body knew it, it's funny how that works. It wasn't completely horrible just food I normally don't eat and really never ate that often when it was available. Have a great Monday everyone.

well the week of food happened, it was bad (well actually it as really good, just bad diet wise) At our menu tasting I ate so much I couldn't even have a drink afterwards, the food was amazing though, so excited for the wedding now eee. finished the week off by ordering pizza bahhh

I'm hoping to drop down a bit this week, I've started exercising again today after nearly two weeks of being lazy. I feel that unfit I went back to level one 30 day shred! thankfully it was quite easy so I'll be back on level two tomorrow so at least it hasn't done too much damage fitness wise.

Need to track todays food still but the tracker is playing up so will have to wait a few hours and try then.

Hi, Turbo. I was out walking in late April and tried to jog a little bit -- tripped over the sidewalk and broke my right wrist. (Of course, I am right handed.) I had to wear a splint for about 8 weeks. I am out of the splint now and the bone seems to have healed well, but the sprains and 8 weeks of immobility are causing a little pain as I get back to using it again. So I am taking it slowly.

This past week has been a terrible week for my eating. I just seem to have lost all willpower this whole year. I am exercising reasonably and keeping my blood sugars under control, but I find myself having frequent small binges a couple of times per week. (e.g. not a whole box of cookies -- just 3 or 4 cookies when I shouldn't be eating any. Or not yogurt OR fruit ... but both at the same meal.) It's adding up to up to an extra 200 - 300 calories per day and that is doing me in.

I think it is due to job stress -- and I need to get it under control.
