Ok everyone, I officially am within maintenance weight! 60 lbs lost for me. Since starting this challenge, 25 lbs in 25 weeks, I have lost an average of 1.5 pounds per week. it has been so helpful to be here week in and week out. Can we start another challenge? I don't want to lose you, even if I have lost the weight that got me here.

It is the best Xmas present I have ever given myself, well except maybe that year I bought myself T25. Now I get to ask for clothes, yes CLOTHES for Xmas!

Weighed in yesterday and down 1.8 pounds, almost 250 even... and only a pound and a half way from 60 pounds lost.

Just looked again and realized my goal was to get to 250 even for this challenge, so I'm really close! Less than a pound away! emoticon

Bonnie is a rockstar! When I weighed in last Sunday I was 171.5, which was 2.5 lbs down over two weeks! I am looking at the 160's by the end of the year if I keep at it!

40 lbs. in 22 weeks.

Weigh-in yesterday was 254.2, which means I lost 1.4 pounds! And I also passed 55 pounds lost total, feels like I've been so close for a few weeks but had a half pound loss and then stayed the same so it feels good to pass it this time.

I'm managing to stay on track and in fact, I did really well. I turned the stress that I felt yesterday into housework. However, it didn't seem to help too much. Today I didn't have to babysit my nephews so it has given me a day to sort of adjust to everything. We had Thanksgiving early (Saturday) so that my mom could enjoy her meal before surgery so we didn't have any holiday plans for today.

I have to admit that I'm still stressed today but staying on track with eating so far and got a lot of good exercise in. I even walked a mile while it was lightly snowing!

Don't worry even if things don't go down you will get back on track you know you can do it Bonnie. Glad all went well with your mom's surgery and do not let the stress of helping her recover get you off track....make sure you have lots of good stuff in the house and you will stay on track

Well, I got my wish I shocked the heck out of my doctor this morning. He could not believe that I had lost 55.4 pounds since I saw him last...told me he had never had a patient lose that much in that amount of time without surgery.....I think I am going to give myself a simple goal for the rest of the year....218 by January 1, 2015.

Congrats Jeanne! I hope everyone has a good holiday!

Just checking in here. Weigh-in is tomorrow. I have to admit I'm a little nervous for it this week... but I think it's more the stress and nerves from my mom's surgery yesterday (which went well). I'm currently waiting to hear if she'll be coming home today or tomorrow. I'm babysitting my nephews right now and they're napping... and it's fall break so no homework. I don't really know what to do with myself so I got on SP but I still feel a bit unnerved.

Hello Ladies! Let me first say that I am very SORRY for abandoning this group. Next, let me express how VERY PROUD I am of all of you! You are doing an AWESOME job! emoticon
After the birth of my granddaughter at the end of August, I failed to continue on my weight loss journey. I have had some things going on in my life and have just let myself go. With God's help, I am now ready to get serious and get back on track. I know that I would feel much better if I do. And I also want to be able to enjoy my grandchildren for as long as I can.

When I started this challenge back in July, I weighed in at 245. I lost 20 pounds by September 6, but due to slacking, I have gained back up to 239. Therefore, I do know that I will not be able to lose a total of 25 pounds by December 23, but I'm going to do the best that I can.
Again, I am VERY SORRY for leaving you all! Keep up the GREAT WORK! emoticon

Bonnie, we know if we are consistent the weight comes off. The body adjusts In its own way. These days it seems I am plateauing and then BAM 3 or 4 lbs in one week. I am focusing on family this holiday and not food, and just being thankful that I am adding years of healthy life so I can be with the people I love.

I am also thankful for the support on this board. My friends just see the weight loss and they don't really know how difficult it is to log food and get in steps and make healthy food decisions like we do. It isn't happening like magic and we people ask me"how did you do it?" I just say "diet and exercise" but it is really accountability to myself and to my support team on this board.

Well, I stayed the same on my weigh-in yesterday... after all the work I did both exercising and cleaning, organizing, and rearranging the house. And also making sure I had enough but not too much to eat to compensate for all that housework... well, I'm a little disappointed! However, it's not a bad weigh-in to stay the same and I know that some of it has to be muscle from all that lifting and pushing my leg muscles to their limits. Plus there might be other factors at play here, but pretty certain water weight isn't the issue lol.

All this talk about totals for the challenge made me go back and see how much I've lost, which is 39.6 pounds. My personal goal for this challenge was pretty enthusiastic and I still have 5.6 pounds left to lose to hit it. I have this week's weigh-in plus four more, and I think I can do it. That's only just over a pound each week average. Either way- if I hit it or not- I'm happy for what I've lost. I have my mom's surgery coming up on the 24th and caring for her after she comes home, plus whatever Thanksgiving dinner(s) I have, and some things going on in December to get through so it's going to be tough but I know I can do it! I've made it this far.

emoticon Wow Bama Cannot wait till I can say I am at the top end of a normal BMI. And slow and steady is the way to go I know how you feel It can get discouraging but a slow week is nothing to worry about any more we know, as long as we stay on track, the weight will keep dropping slowly. I think you need to get yourself a nice pair of slacks and a top that really fit the "New" you and dare the friends and family not to notice and be wowed by your accomplishments!!!!! I am still at the pinning waist stage for most cloths..but since I have been this route before I have a few things that fit a little better. I am the same 38 off since the start of this challenge....considering I have Thanksgiving then 2 weeks of vacation I think whatever I get off this week might be my total..I am just hoping I can manage to not gain too much while on vacation....just have to make sure I do lots of walking and eat right...though I know I will eat more quantity than I do at home. Weigh in this am 174. That's right, I finally hit the top end weight for my BMI. I really and truly cannot believe it. The weight has been coming off so slowly now that I am down but I just keep plugging along.

Headed home for T'giving, my friends and family haven't seen me since August 1, and I have lost an additional 35 pounds since then. Remember when I complained because no one mentioned by 20 lbs weight loss? My guess is they will notice now emoticon

Since joining this 25 lbs in 25 weeks, I have lost 38 lbs. I know others have had great results, also.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. The whole six and a half pounds did stay off and I lost an additional 0.4 pound. I've never been so happy to see such a little loss as that lol. I worked really hard and had a lower calorie range due a lower weight as well as because I was trying not to push myself too hard regarding exercise after being sick, so it was a challenge. So it was good to see at least a half pound loss.

Starting weight: 309.4
1st goal: 10.4 pounds, 299 by July 2, 2014 (met June 25th)
2nd goal: 30 pounds- 10% of remaining weight, 269 by October 15, 2014 (met September 24th)
3rd goal: 27 pounds- 10% of remaining weight, 242 by January 7, 2015

Yes be careful not to get under 1200-1400 calories! I realize you probably know that, but if you are tracking your food intake, you might take a look at that.

Terry....are you eating enough calories each day...sometimes when you hit a stretch like you are in right now you need to boost your calories for a couple of days with more fruits, veggies, and protein. Too few calories can trigger a "starvation" mode by your body we are here to listen if you want to brainstorm Don't get discouraged emoticon

I think we are pretty much self monitoring!!! There seem to be only four, maybe five who are posting regularly and we are each others best cheering section and I for one will keep posting till our Dec 23 end date. No matter what we do each week, the fact that we are still working at our individual goals is great and lets keep supporting each other for the next 6 weeks.

I guess I've been MIA from this thread. I got sick last week and have been struggling to catch up with everything, especially since I was already behind on some things before that. My weigh-in a few days ago put me at 256 even (6.4 pounds lost), but it was after a day of suffering from a stomach virus so we'll see if it sticks around this coming weigh-in. Most of it was genuine weight loss I think because I'm noticing my arms and legs, etc. are smaller this past couple weeks!

Yay Jeanne and Bama, keep it up! Bama, how exciting to be close to goal, you're doing so great!

Keep pushing 123Terry. Find something that works for you and stick to it. I know it's hard but I know you can do it. If you've been working out and it's not helping, try finding new exercise methods. Change it up a bit. If you feel you've hit a plateau and trying a new exercise for a week or two doesn't work, then maybe up your calories a little for a week. I heard of this on someone else's blog. They said they gained at first and then when they went back to their normal calorie range, they started losing again.

Weighed in at 174.5 again this week. I was at a conference, and took some good food with me, but only got in about 30 mins in the hotel fitness center every day, and didn't get my 10K steps in any of the 4 days but still...in my other life I would have gained 3 lbs., because I always looked at conferences as food trips (new restaurants, local cuisine). I had a good conference, but it was more about wise choices.

Oh to be that close to goal Bama!!! I am not sure I will ever be in the normal BMI range, 118-159 seems low for me but we will see how it goes after I make the final goal I have set for myself. Have a great week Jeanne

I am still here with you Jeanne! Weigh in this am 174.5, that's one half pound from the top end of healthy weight for me! Yeah, just 10-12 pounds left to get to maintenance. I am shooting for the 162-164 range, somewhere I haven't been since I was in college (for my undergrad!)

Seven weeks until Xmas, I would like to lose 7 more pounds before then!

Also, if anyone is posting to social media, go to #Fit2Feast to keep up with daily exercise before Thanksgiving. It is a fun place in the twitterverse.

Healthy weight to everyone this week. 7 more weeks, let's do this!

Good Morning All.......postings seem to be dwindling down but hopefully everyone is still out there walking this journey, even in the background. Well I managed to make my October goal by the slimmest margin but that is OK. So weigh-in today and I am 229...Yeah that is 2.6 down for the week. I would love to be 220 by the end of November but the goal setter says that is too ambitious so I set 222 as my target. We've had a couple of really cold, for Florida, days and I had to find pins to keep the only jeans I have up!!! Have a great week all Jeanne

So sorry to have been gone this long! I have been dealing with existing injuries, and just vacated SparkPeople for a while. I have continued to wear my Spark Activity Tracker and track my walking, but that's about it!

I have been fluctuating quite a bit this last month. I ended October at 283!

My weigh-in this morning showed me at 262.4, for just 0.4 pound lost this past week. Once again not what I should have lost... but this time it is because of that pesky TOM that will start soon. I know I am bloated from it already, I've noticed in the past few days or so and knew the weigh-in wouldn't be the best... However, it's still a loss so woohoo! Plus I am at 32.8 pounds lost for this challenge, just 12.4 pounds away from the goal I set. There are still eight weeks for me to lose that and I'm confident that I will.

Weigh in this morning, 176.5. Eating something every few hours works for me. Next week I do measurements, will be interested to see where the inches came off.

I am about 10 lbs. from maintenance weight. I really can't even believe it. Checking in on this board has kept me accountable and given me a place to celebrate.
