Having to buy a new scale mid-month messed up my weight tracking ...but adjusting for the difference in the scales, I think I lost about 1.5 pounds (maybe 2) this month. I don't think I reached my original 2.5 pound goal, but at least I lost a little.

March is a new month. Onward to March.

my weight this morning--Mar. 1 was 176, BUT on a different scale than I started this on.
So...did I go down, or not? Not sure.
I AM glad to be back HOME now, and will sign up for March. Working on getting back into better eating and exercise routine.

Well today was the final weigh in for this month. It was better than I expected. But my motivation has been tough to stick with it. I've got to get a better mind set about things. It looks like it will still be a colder March in Wisconsin, so I'll keep going to the gym. I'll look forward to exercising outside again. Here's my stats from this month.

Starting Weight 1/31/2014- 222
Weight on 2/5/2014 - 220
Weight on 2/12/2014 - 221.8
Weight on 2/13/2014 - 220.8
Weight on 2/19/2014 - 219.8

Goal Weight - 217

I was just shy of my goal weight for the month, but it was a good 4.8 loss from Wednesday. I figure it was something I ate on Tuesday.

I'll see you all in the month of March. My starting weight will be today's weight.

Well look at that. I actually did lose 1/2 lb. I thought I started the month at 136. I find it interesting that many of us struggled in February as compared to January. What do you suppose that is all about?

I am 4 lbs heavier than I was a year ago when I did Jillian's Body Revolution. I don't seem to be making much progress even though I've been pretty consistent with my workouts. I need to work on eating more clean and stop the winter comfort foods. I'm going to blame it on turning 60...that's my story and I'm sticking to it for the rest of this month. emoticon

I didn't step on the scale today. emoticon
But I did drag out my rebounder. emoticon
I'm really starting from the very beginning again. emoticon

Today my goals are to be good to myself, keep a positive attitude, move more, stay within caloric range, drink 8 (8 oz ) cups of water and keep my salt/sodium intake down. emoticon
There's nothing more depressing than stepping on the scale on weighing water retention. emoticon

Now I'm going to go make a delicious hardy veggie soup for dinner that even my husband will rave about. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Oh yes Feb has not been great here either, but I keep plugging along. was thinking of at least waiting to have pizza dinner this weekend just because it would be after the "official weigh in".
Tonight more soup! Chicken taco. If the kids had gone to school, I would have done the enchilada chicken soup cause I could have gone to the grocery store. But since we have yet another snow day, it will have to be the taco one. HOPEFULLY I can get there tomorrow.

Today I did get in a bit of kettlebells, not too much since I am still dealing with a child with severe stomach pains, but at least it was something instead of nothing.

Stay warm, and do your best. don't be too hard on yourself if you gained or maintained. We all have our ups and downs, daily life struggles, and stresses never help. Just keep working at it every day.

Looks like I'm not alone in having troubles in February. I'll post my weight tomorrow but it won't be impressive. I have a better plan for March so l'm looking forward to better results and definitely warmer weather. I am so done with winter.

Well...I would like to pretend February never happened.

yeah it has gone massively wrong. I'll do my final weigh in for the month tomorrow morning but unless there is some kind or miracle or I lose a limb overnight, I'm going to have a gain.

Its completely my own fault, pizza (I know I'm still holding water weight from the mountains of salt in that meal) last night I actually baked iced buns. AND ATE 3! that's nearly 650 calories of bun. seriously???

I need to get back on track for March, no more ordering food, no more baking! Also I need to exercise! at the moment, I wave my arm and the arm fat carries on waving for about an hour after...that will NOT look good in my wedding dress - which incidentally is too tight and with this gain will be even tighter now ARGHHHHHH

Whew. It's been a crazy month. emoticon

But I'm happy to say that that little thing in my head and in my heart 'clicked' again and I'm back on track. Gee, it feels good. emoticon

After stalling for so long, all the ups and downs this has got to be my time to finally get to my goal.

So, far this month I've dropped 4.5 pounds. emoticon
With two more days to go in this short month it sure would be wonderful to complete a full 5 pounds.
But if I have to slide into the March challenge to hit a solid 5 pound loss that will be just fine.

No matter what day of the month the calendar says it is it is just another day and another chance.
emoticon Everyday is Day #1 and a new opportunity. emoticon

I am so disappointed with myself this morning. I can't believe what I saw on the scale... a big increase! I don't know if it was something that I ate last night or just extra water weight. Since Friday is the last day of February, I am going to try to get down a to where I was by then. It's worth the shot.... emoticon

GW - 147 - new goal weight for end of feb is just 149! at least that would be a pound off...

Need t0 get back on it! I'm very annoyed I've slipped up, haven't been tracking or exercising and it shows in my weight sigh.

I'll try and salvage the next few days and get to 149 hopefully. Tracked for today, going to see if I can get shoes on today and go out (there was an incident last week involving new boots and a two hour walk which has resulted in basically having no skin on the back on my heels left owwwwwww)

I had to buy a new bathroom scale yesterday -- and it weighs 2 pounds heavier than my old one ! ! ! I know for a fact that I did NOT gain 2 pounds yesterday. So it must be the new scale.

So now I have to change all my goal numbers and accept the fact that all my tracking numbers look like I have had a set back when in fact, I have not. It feels like I have to lose "the same 2 pounds" all over again.

Old goals for the month:
SW = 155.4
GW = 153

New goals for the month based on new scale calibration:
SW = 157.4
CW= 156.2
GW = 155

Yesterday I did Jillian's No More Trouble Zones. Tried to roller skate with the kids yesterday, but something just wasn't right. Someone else said the same thing. NOt sure if it was the skates, or the floor, but I kept feeling like I could fall and wasn't moving smoothly. So I didn't want to risk it and with all the little kids falling in front of me, I REALLY don't need to be out with an injury.

Today I did Jillian's Kickbox fastfix workouts 1&2, and then I got a phone call that I had to take. at least I got 40 min in.

Did Jillian phase1 workout3, it feels like it's getting harder!! Is that possible? I'm supposed to move on to the next harder workouts next week, but I don't think I'm ready at all, besides my daughter is going to be home for the week and she wants to workout with me. She almost finished this system over the summer.

I need to buy a new bathroom scale. I thought it was just the battery ... but it's acting weird even after I put a new battery So my weight may be a little "off" for a few days.

I pulled an old DVD out today -- one that I hadn't done it well over a year, maybe 2. It was still a bit challenging, but it was MUCH easier than it was when I first bought it about 5 years ago. That makes me feel like I have actually improved my fitness level over the past few years, and that feels good.

Now ... if I can just get that scale to start moving down again.

Did my Jillian phase 1 cardio. I didn't shovel yesterday, with how warm it's getting (40) I'm kinda hoping it just melts, but I don't know, I might just have ice when these temps go back down.

Scale hasn't moved much, I know I'm getting stronger but I don't want to be 200 pounds of muscle! I guess if I do I could compete then. emoticon

Good morning everyone! Happy Hump Day!

I am started a new running training on Sunday. It is the running training plan for a local 10k in the summer. I am training with it for the marathon relay that I am participating in in the month of May. I will be doing a 5 - 5.5 mile run (/walk) of the relay. I have done a couple of 5ks, but I haven't ran the whole thing. So this is a new challenge. I figure even if I do a 15 minute mile, I'll still be done about 1 hour & 15/30 minutes. I'm hoping for a quicker time though since other people will be relying on me. Plus we join up at the end for the last mile & run through the football stadium. It should be a good time. I never thought I would see the day that I would run.

I am down one more pound this morning which was a surprise. My dinner last night contained a good amount of calories & probably sodium too. I guess something was working in my favor. :-)

Today I did Bob Harpers Ultimate Cardio 60 min workout. THEN just needed to shovel the sidewalks that go from house to barn, and along the garage to the main house. THEN to dig out the mailbox so they could deliver the mail. I am guessing it was at least 45min to an hour. I was SOAKED. Glad I did that after my workout and before a shower.
Kids have ANOTHER SNOW DAY. And then they have a short week to begin with since they have conferences as well. So half day THursday and all day Friday off!!! I think they have only had 1 MAYBE 2 full weeks so far for 2014!!!

Reading a good ebook I found free last week on kindle. "kick your fat in the nuts" I am not that far into it, but I do like how well it explains WHY low carb works, and how the whole digestive system works and how it needs the perfect balance of stomach acid and bile production.

Great job Pam! I really did not want to exercise today but I dragged myself into my exercise room and did a 20 minute cardio. gave it my all for at least 15 mins then I just went through the movements for the last 5. I was just too exhausted. Tomorrow is another day and I plan to do better.

Did Jillian phase1 workout 3, still can't do all the exercises in this one. I modify the ones I can't do to be a tad easier. I still try and do it the hard way first as much as I can. I'll skip the treadmill today, need to get to the store and dishes are calling.

I sat around and watched Olympics all weekend -- very non-productive -- but I needed the break after such a stressful week at work. On the positive side, I ate well and did an exercise DVD each day. Today, I did one that I hadn't done for 2 or 3 months and it kicked my butt. I guess that demonstrates the importance of varying our routines. This DVD obviously works different muscles in different ways.

I hit my monthly goal weight today ... but I know it can go back up by the end of the month. I will continue to try to lose more and see if I can lose another pound by the end. That would be GREAT!

I had a really busy, stressful week at work this past week -- and a few days of unhealthy eating at work as a result. I was just "grabbing something to eat" from the cafeteria rather than planning a packing my breakfasts and lunches. The cheeseburgers and fries tasted great ... but I felt guilty about it.

I also exercised a little less on those days ... but I did a good 55 minutes today to make my goal for the week.

I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't gain any weight this past week. So I am optimistic about meeting my goal for the month -- but I know that anything can happen between now and the end of the month.

Happy valentines day to everyone.
Since I had a little one home this morning due to getting sick in the van on the way to school!!!! I did Iron Core Kettlebells Bootcamp workout. Only the 4 sets not the "ab circuit" full of swings. Plus tons of cleaning today!!!

Scale is looking better, but I ordered 3 heart shaped pizzas from the school to pick up for tonight for dinner!!! AND hubby bought chocolates. He knows better. So I cooked up eggs with cottage cheese for lunch.

Did Jillian phase1 workout 4, debating on the treadmill, probably should just in case hubby buys candy or we go out to eat. Yup, I'll get on it.

I'm not going to weigh until the end of the month. but I'm working hard so I'm sure that I'll make it!
