My goal for November was to lose 4lbs and go from 181.4 to 177.4. I reached 177.7 for a total loss of 3.7lbs, I'm very happy with that!

I've actually been teaching extra kettlebell classes and we even did one Thanksgiving morning and I had 12 members show up, it was so great!!! I had a upper, lower and ab workout all planned and we burned calories for an hour total. I also have a Bulgarian intro class coming up and will start using this as a great training tool, so I've been doing this as well to be ready. All good. I am also down on my weight even with work being such a stressful situation. Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Keep it up. I know it's going to be hard this week, with travels, and lots of great food.
Try to get a walk if you can, move to a different room than where all the food is at.

No real workouts M-W this week. At least will be getting a walk in today with Turbo, at least it's something. but have plenty of time on Thursday and Friday

I will set up another challenge for Dec as well if everyone still wants to keep these going.

I think this is a great challenge and hope it continues for each month going forward. My goal is 30lbs by my birthday and 5 pounds a month will get me there.

My weight was down to 149 this morning. Yeah! But I am hoping to lose a little more over the next couple of days so that I can end the month here at 149. I think I'll need a "little cushion" to do that as I will probably not get much exercise over my trip to Pennsylvania over Thanksgiving.

did Bob's cardio conditioning using the 12kg & 14kg kettlebells for the swings, replaced the suitcase swings with swing squats! great workout.
Having romaine lettuce salad for lunch, greek yogurt for snack, since someone is taking us out for dinner tonight.

I can't believe its almost the end of the month. This month has blown right on by.

10/31- 148.6 - my lowest in 13 years.
11/8 - 148.2

11/22 - 152.2 - NOT GOOD!!! but I completely know why!!! ate out for lunch twice this week, Chinese for dinner last night, not getting in as many workouts the last few weeks, TOM, and a bit stressed out this week over health insurance options.
11/30 GOAL - 146.8 setting a goal, but I will still be happy if I can just maintain this number

Need to chug my water, re-adjust my lunch idea and dinner idea.

I've been up and down all month and not being consistent with my eating or my weight. Fortunately, I have been exercising regularly and that has kept me from gaining. I still might make my goal if I can behave myself over the holiday.

Work has been stressful lately and I've been eating more sweat snacks as a way of coping. Not good.

As I expected, the unexplained weight loss I had last week was just temporary. I have spent the last few days slowly, but steadily gaining it back. But I am still slightly below what I weighed at the beginning of the month and still have hopes of meeting my goal.

Today I did a little strength training. I've avoided that this past week because my left arm has been bothering me and I thought it needed a little rest. It was feeling a little better, so I did one of my strength DVD's, but with a lighter than usual weight. It still feels OK and hopefully will continue to feel OK.

My Nov 2 wt was 195

11/16 - 196.8 - Going the wrong way. I can't let this happen after all my hard work.
I do have a lame excuse though. I fell over 3 months ago and I have had a bum foot ever since. It doesn't seem to want to heal. I have been to my MD, but might have to seek out a specialist foot doctor. It has been interfering with my walking somewhat in the process of me trying to nurse it back to health. I think it might be a torn ligament.

I am starting a new trek across the USA tomorrow. I don't care if I have to wear a boot or a cast, a cane, crutches, or even if it comes to using a walker. I do need my exercise.
If anyone wants to join me they are welcome to. The trek is over 4000 miles and it will probably take me 2 yrs to complete it.

In the meantime this month to month challenge is a good place to hang out.

Today I did Bob's ultimate cardio. I would say it's more circuit since it has a ton of weight work in it.
OH, and the back of my thighs are slightly burning! it's all good.

Numbers were down this am, so I'm happy with that, I think taking my time to chew my food and not eat so fast is paying off. I'm also more in the habit of drinking water before I eat to make sure it's not thirst that is causing me to think I'm hungry, also helping. It's a process but one we can figure out and over come. Today I did bob harpers Cardio conditioning. and when they were doing the swings (Usually I do a kettlebell swing) but today I tried and was able to add a few swing squats!!!

Well need to get my stuff together to meet Turbo for a walk at the mall.

So I had a dreadful plateau in September (lost like 1/2 a pound all month, even though I was working hard). Last month I lost about 3 pounds. Set my goal at three this month, and it's only the 14th and I've nearly met it! emoticon

I told my sister that my secret is Halloween candy. LOL. So I'm going to keep working for a lower number on that scale for the rest of the month. The last week is kind of likely to be a bust with Thanksgiving and then my birthday celebration the next day. But that's okay. This is a LIFESTYLE and life is meant to be enjoyed, and sometimes that means scarfing down on DQ Ice Cream Cake, because you only turn 35 once, right? :)

Oh I am in pain.... 3 mile run on Sunday and two weight workouts this week - I need a rest day...but have the PT class tomorrow - hopefully he makes a radical change for HIIT circuit = to yoga and we stay in corpse pose for the entire session. Ha!

Ate a chocolate chip cookie - I so regret!

Scale slightly up today. A few bad meal choices this weekend.
Saturday the family did a Hike with the cub scout group. I was dreading the kids would be bored and complain about all the walking. So we started out doing the morning hike and then had a chili lunch that a bunch of moms brought in. And the boys thought the hike was great we did the afternoon hike back as well. So we were out from 9:30-3:30. the wind was a bit chilly when we stopped. But I was warm enough if we kept moving. Ended up picking up Panera broccoli cheese soup for dinner, usually I get the bread bowl, but they were out of bread bowls. Guess I didn't need the loaded calories. Sunday we went to IHOP for breakfast. UGH. Tried to eat light the rest of the day.

Today I did Bob's Pure Strength and burn.

My water plan went great yesterday and I didn't seem nearly as starving as I had been, I think I found my issue. Now to get my hydration in with all my green veggies. Have a great Tuesday. Stayed the same today.

Life is weird. For some mystery reason, I have lost 2 pounds in the last week or so. I've been on a plateau for the past 3 months or so ... and then out of the blue, I lose 2 pounds. I'm guessing it is just a temporary water weight drop or something and that it will not last. But I am trying to use it as motivation to try a little harder so that maybe I can meet my goal this month.

Yes - I have trouble drinking the water too.

One full week down - 100% improvement from last week though.
Working with the PT tomorrow night - 1/2 of HIIT - I thought I was in shape until I started this class. I sure hope it helps get the scale moving down!!

I am surprised how tough some of these 10 minute videos are! I have been doing at least 10 minutes since the month started. But have not been doing enough to counter all the leftover Halloween candy. Candy corn is not the best for breakfast.

New week same approach, need to eat clean and really drink that water. I find in the shorter days I don't drink as much as I should and it makes a huge difference. I know I mistaken thrist for hunger. Back on track numbers were down, hope to keep this going through the week.

SW: Not sure... forgot to weight this morning so I'll weight tomorrow. But last I checked it was 156. This week pre-menstrual bloating is setting in so I'm sure I'm heavier this week. Plan to drink plenty plenty plenty of water to help combat that.

I am joining this challenge late, but I think that 2-5 pounds is doable for this time frame. I currently weigh approximately 215 pounds and would love to lose 5 pounds by the end of November! I have been sick lately and unable to exercise or do much of anything, which has been a setback. I am planning on doing some swimming at a local pool and then I will also drag out the treadmill... My eating habits are terrible and need to change. I have been saying that for so many years. Maybe I should just come up with the cash and hire a personal trainer to come to my home for a month and get me to workout and show me what to eat. I know the answers already, but don't know how to take my knowledge and put it into action. Good luch to all of you. I am pulling for you!

Short term goals:

Weigh less than 200 lbs. by summer!

Had a good week of fitness last week - feel like I am on the right path. Ran 3.25 tonight.
Partied a little too much over the weekend... emoticon
and didn't eat 5-6 servings of veg per day.

I have prepped all the food for my healthy eating this week that should keep me on track.

I would really like to wear some of the clothes in my closet again - sheesh my dress pants are snug!!
