Hi all and welcome to November. I hope you had a pretty good October. I did not do as good as I had hoped but I did manage to lose 4 lbs. I am now at 195...My December 31 goal of 185 is getting closer and closer to a reality. Gotta stay focused and keep our minds on the prize. (I will tell me that whenever I want to eat one of the kids candies...LOL) Well, this is pizza night, and yes I do track it.....so I gotta go. Hope to hear from all of you.

Hi all, Tops Lady, sorry to hear of your not so good October. Me too!! But I did FINALLY get a loss of 2.5 lbs...but I had to be very sick a couple of days to do that. But at this point I will take them where ever I can...LOL I have checked the calendar and it will still be possible to lose 10 lbs by the end of the year. With 1 lb loss a week. Guess we need to decide nothing for a brief second will taste good enough to defer us from meeting our goal of feeling good and looking good for the holidays. Well, lets be determined from this day on as you have said. Hope you have a great weekend.
Hi all, Seems we all have the same problem....a scale that refuses to move (at least in the direction we will accept). But, as you all say...one day at a time, one meal at time, one small bit of exercise a day and we will beat those scales. Plateaus are a "bummer" place to be. At least we are not by ourselves huh!! Well, have not done much today. Have chiciken baking in the oven so I guess I better get the rest of dinner started. Tomorrow is weigh in day. Don't forget to weigh in. I am looking to a gain...darn it...but I will start a new day doing all the things I know to do. Talk to you soon. Lynn
So it's day 3 and so far so good. I'm going to the gym and eating right and logging my food on the Lose it app. Just feeling tired, really tired today. I think I need more protein. How is everyone else's day going?

Hi to all So happy to see all the new 'faces' out there. We can make our goals as long as we stay focused and get our support from each other.
I haven't been out here for about a week I think. And I apologize for that but I am really having a hard time with this darn ol' knee pain. All they can do is 'try to manage the pain' which so far has been a big fat zero help. Dr. tells me to start walking, very slowly (I can do that lol) and for short distances at first. I just have to suck up the pain and try to walk thru it. Root for me ok....I need all the support I can get right now.
Well, have been on my feet for a good part of today so sitting here at computer is hurting really bad. If I plan on being able to stand up I better go.
Will try to stop in every day and see how everyone is doing. Take care and have a good night. Lynn
-joined weight watchers for more accountability -going to increase water consumption -hubby and I eating at home more -going to pool for exercise -going to Dr. appointments -getting 7-9hrs. of sleep nightly
I weigh tomorrow at WW. I hope to initially lose more I am hoping to be down to: 238lbs. By the end of October...I believe it is doable.

We all have our own goals for what we want to lose. But we must keep it reasonable and attainable. I think abtween 4 and 6 lbs is a good goal. Doesn't sound like much, I know. But if you lose the 6 lbs a month then thats almost 25 lbs by Christmas. I could live with that.
My goals for October: get moving - want to be able to walk really soon lose 6-7 lbs increase water intake be absolutely on track on tracking - no cheating

Tops Lady, I am starting out at 198.5 Wish it was less,but not being able to walk at all is taking its toll on my losses. Have Dr. appt. Thursday...hope he can do SOMETHING about this pain. I want to (I need to lol) walk again.
