It completely slipped my mind yesterday and today to weigh in. I'll assume I didn't lose this month. Looks like I gained a pound in July. I'll weigh tomorrow to start the August challenge.

Looks like a .2 gain from June 30 weight. I guess that is not too bad. Need to keep working on it. Ready to try again for Aug.

Today was legs and back. I was able to do more plyo jack push ups today which felt good.

July is over, boo, this summer is going by way too fast. Today was the same as Monday, must mean I'm going to hold at this number for a couple of days. Too Many carbs this past weekend... Oh well healthy green veggies here I come.

I know I can get frustrated at the scale often since I have been in this range for over 2 years now. But like you said it is nice to see you are not alone and others struggle just as much and we are all in the same boat.

Today was scheduled yoga which I always skip. Plus the kids slept in until 8:30 and 8:40, and we needed to leave for an eye dr appointment by 9:30. Back at it tomorrow.

WOW, I just looked at my calendar and noticed that tomorrow is the 31st!! Guess I don't have a couple days anymore. SHOCKING it's AUG already.

Trish sometimes it takes trying something new to get our mojo flowing again. Get a new workout outfit, or set up a reward if you reach a certain goal, like a spa day. If you have something to work towards you tend to be more motivated. You can do this.

About the same said I was down a little I'll take it. Hope to keep seeing the numbers go down... Have a great Tuesday everyone.

Trish - YOU CAN DO IT! I know it can be hard and we all struggle. But I know for me, if I don't keep working at it, I will gain it all back. And I DON'T want that. I don't want bigger jeans, or tops, or anything else.

Today I did Tapout XT plyo. A few interruptions during it, but still got a good sweat going.

I did go down a bit which is great. I didn't workout last week though. I'm also doing a wedding cake for a friend and she did a taste test Saturday. So, lots of cake leftover in the house.

I am getting discouraged and frustrated at myself. I don't understand why I can't get motivated again. I lost this weight before and it felt, almost easy. Maybe because I had a friend doing it too and we held each other accountable. Now I'm struggling to eat right and get my workouts in. I really hope I will get this huge push in the right direction so I can finally get this weight off and be healthy again.

Today was a kind'a lazy day ... but I did an excercise DVD and ate within my range. I didn't lose any weight, but I don't think I gained anything significant either.

I for one am looking forward to August. At this point in July, I feel like I am just marking time and look forward to a fresh start in a new month.

I've lost 3 pounds in July - woo hoo! Slow and steady does it. Strength training and zumba have really made a difference for me, as well as tracking my nutrition. For the first time, I have confidence that I can meet my goals.

It looks like I'm going to finish the month right about where I started it -- which is a little disappointing, but I can handle it. And who knows? Maybe I can lose a little in the time we have left. I've been nice and steady with my exercise and eating, but not pushing things to the limit. I could do better ... I'm just not motivated to work that hard right now. So I'll be OK if I can just maintain this month and hope to get a fresh start when August starts.

Zucchini salsa is in the pot cooking. So I hope we can have some of that for dinner tonight. And I usually end up eating it all week. Need to bake some tortillas to use instead of the salty chips.

I did OK today ... ate sensibly and didn't buy any creme horns when I stoppped off at the grocery store after work. (Thanks for the support Turbo.) I didn't feel like exercising ... so I chose one of my easier DVD's to do (a Leslie Sansone one). So at least I got a little cardio and maintained my routine.

144 ... not happy, but, at least im in damage control mode... rather than just turn a blind eye like i've done so many times in the past....

goal:
1. lose 2 out of the 4 i gained by aug 3rd. (500 cal deficit/day=2 drinks+fries) the remaining 2 by aug 28th.

2. when i go canoeing, i need to be slimmer and stronger.

action plan:
1. reduce the assumption of social drinking to one glass (100cal) per event. replace with mineral water

2. log my food intake rather than in a "cheat meal" mode in summer.

3. watch out for fried /salty food i normally like to eat with i drink

4. practice cal cycling

5. keep up with the exercise. im pretty active in summer

Lou I have those evil demons as well they are these homemade chocolate chip cookies my favorite grocer sales. I could eat a half dozen if given the chance, I chose not too. I do every once in a while buy one and make it last through out the day. We have to have treats once in a while otherwise we feel deprived and can really go off the deep end. Hold strong.

Today was another new low, if this holds I'll hit mark sooner rather than later.

summer parties. i became careless with my food/drinks intake.... horrible. when i feel the skirt was a bit snug... which was very loose 1 month and half ago....

caught myself slipping.... so now im back on..... warning signs.....

dont let one cheat meal become one cheat month then become one cheat summer.....

beer/wine my weakness..... outdoor dining, hanging out, hard to pass the drinks.... need to be record my food log again. i'd been too careless....

Today was a scheduled rest day for me, and given that have a bit of a cold (office mate has a terrible cold) ... that's a good thing. But unfortunately, my weight was back up a pound this morning. I don't know why it went up and I am hoping it was just a fluke.

Also negative, my local grocery store has started selling my favorite poison -- cream horns. They are like heroin to me. Even thinking about them makes me crave them. I can only hope they won't carry them on a regular basis, because they are a temptation that has always been hard for me to resist. I've always been grateful that my local grocercy store didn't carry them. But now ...

I've been doing pretty good with my workouts this past week. I went on a church retreat last weekend and then this past weekend my parents had a party. There has been junk food everywhere so I haven't really eaten the best. However, I have shown some restraint that I am proud of. Well, I finally made it back to my pre-vaction weight. I'm proud of myself for not letting the set-back get the better of me. But it was a hard 2.5 pounds to lose.

Now I can start focusing on losing a little for this month. I doubt I will reach 148, but if I can finish below 150 (with ANY loss), that will be OK.

Stocked up on Veggies at the grocery store today.
Need to make cake for son's birthday, but at least I use the cake mix and 15+ oz of pumpkin per layer. Hidden veggie for the kids, and lower calorie for mom.

Slightly up today. 2 slices of Rye bread last night for dinner and it's back up. ARGH.

Roller coaster the last 2 days. Last night I decided I would take the boys to the beach today, and nice gas prices did drop slightly. I thought we could have a fun day at the beach. Well, this morning the oldest tells me, he doesn't want to go cause it's boring! Great. Well too bad you can just sit there then. Later the little one comes and tells me he doesn't want to go either. Well I think the older one talked to him and convinced him to say that. (so that they can play with the neighbors grandkids who moved in a few weeks ago) Well too bad we are still going. (cause you play with them enough). Then they are fighting over video games, and controlers, and 2 different stories on what happened. Still trying to get ready to go, and one just won't drop it about who is lying. he was talking back to me.....So it's OVER! We are staying home and they are both grounded for the day. I am SO MAD and UPSET RIGHT NOW!

The scale had a better number this morning which made me feel better.
I did Legs and back today.
Decided not to go to the beach with $4 per gallon gas prices (45 min drive each way), and having to pay either for day pass or for season pass.

I've made a little progress in the past few days and have hopes of getting back to 150 (my July start weight by the end of the month). While that's not great, it would be a victory of sorts to get back on track after a set-back. Learning how to not let set-backs derail me would be good.

One of the things that has has me down lately is that my body seems to be a little over-stressed. Particularly my legs and feet. They generally ache all over, especially when I exercise. I had been hoping that they would improve over vacation (with only a little exercise), but they didn't. That's making it uncomfortable for me to exercise.

Today was Mauy Thai - Great kickboxing workout. I am on Week 7 of tapout.

With the hot humid weather I am thinking of taking kids to beach tomorrow afternoon.

GOAL 7/31 - 152.0

Well not surprised on the gain from a 4 day vacation and TOM. So HOPEFULLY I can get back down soon. I was able to take a 2 mile walk on Friday up 2 big hills. And then did about 1 1/2 mile walk / jog on Sunday. I did my best with eating.
It felt good to get back into tapout today. I decided to do the one that would have been scheduled for yesterday - Ripped conditioning and ultimate abs. Which was PERFECT. More strength and not as intense.

I'm very discouraged (and a little scared) at the moment. I gained 2.5 pounds on vacation last week and have been diligently trying to lose it this week. During the first part of the week, I lost a pound -- probably some fluid as my body adjusted to being back on my usual routine. OK, that's good ... another week or two and I should be back down to my pre-vacation weight. However, this morning, that pound reappeared on the scale. Yes, I ate a little more than usual yesterday as I went to a baby shower. But that shouldn't have made that much difference.

The net result is that I haven't lost any of the weight I gained on vacation. This experience has me thinking that I will have to feel deprived and "on a diet" for the rest of my life. At my last meeting with my weight loss counselor, she encouraged me to try to relax and enjoy my 50-pound weight loss a little -- to take more pleasure from it. I have tried to do that recently, bought new clothes, and hoped that I could just "be normal" and enjoy myself a little and not have to obsess about how much I ate so much. But now it seems that will never be a possibility -- and that's depressing.

No workout for me today - yoga was on schedule. Did get to grocery store and picked up lots of veggies to take on vacation. Now to wash and cut them all up so they are ready to go.

Wrong direction. It's been a tough week. My grandfather passed away. With that, there is more food everywhere I go. Then all the food from the 4th. I noticed my pants feeling tighter so yesterday I really tried to be aware of what I ate. I'm doing better. I've also been staying busy. I've mowed and weeded our flowerbeds. I even moved a pile of shingles that we've had in our yard since we built our house...8 years ago. emoticon Funeral is tomorrow so I'm hoping I will be able to get refocused Wednesday.
