Well, thanks to a bout of stomach flu, I made my goal weight. LOL. I am hoping I can keep it off; I know that that doesn't always happen when lose due to illness. But either way, I'll take it. As of this morning I weigh 194.8, and my goal was 195. :)

I had another good weigh-in this morning, losing another .6 pounds since yesterday. I know that was not all fat weight -- it was fluid and intestinal contents -- but am still happy with it. I'm ending the month a little short of my goal, but not a lot short. I had a small loss this month... and overall, as long I lose a little each month, I am OK with it. 2/28 = 156.4 3/12 = 154.6 3/21 = 154.4 3/27 - 153.8 3/31 - 154.0 well it was at 155 since TOM came this weekend. So I am HAPPY that it was a Loss this month. That makes 2 months in a row that I LOST. Even if it's not much. GOAL 3/31 = 153 2.4 lb loss!!! YIPPPEEEE Today I did Mauy Tai. good 40 min kickboxing workout. Now to control easter "Dinner" (since it's at snack time for me I have had to change all my things around for the day) HAPPY EASTER!!!! Beckie

today was Cardio XT and ultimate abs. I had HORRIBLE cramps this morning (not a normal thing for me) I pushed through the workout and glad i did, cause about 20 min or so into it, I started to feel so much better. I had a good weigh-in this morning, with my weight slightly below what it was before that sudden, unexplained gain mid-week. In fact, it was a full pound lower than it was last Saturday. I weigh-in for another challenge every Saturday and I was thrilled to see I am down a whole pound since last week. Now ... if I can be really good this weekend, I might be able to reach my goal -- or almost! Congratulations to those of you who have seen success this month. You are inspirations. WHOO HOO To all of you. I too have broke through that "same 5 lbs" The scale was DOWN AGAIN TODAY!!! Loving this. Plus measured and losing in all areas. Today instead of the yoga I did Jillian's kickbox fastfix 1 & 2 back to back. I did NOT do #3, cause it's more ab based and tomorrow I have ultimate abs coming up again. Beckie

Basically I lost 5 pounds this month I'm good with that, was hoping to see one more today but it wasn't on the scale, however Saturday's have been my lowest day lately. I'll check tomorrow. All in all a good month hope to continue to make progress, it's a process for sure.

Thanks for all the support. I really do appreciate it. We all knew it was water weight, but I don't like it when I can't link those temporary water weight gains to something (such as strength training or salty foods). It gets frustrating. This morning, the scale was down a little -- not as low as it was a couple of days ago, but back to a believable weight. SW = 156.6 CW = 155.6 GW = 154

Hi Everyone - hope everyone has a wonderful Easter Weekend- and enjoys... in moderation of course... My triumph today - not eating the double delicious chocolate cake in the breakroom. and DoubleDuty at the gym. Looks like the month will end a little lighter.

Weighed in today and I'm down two more pounds, to 196. My goal for the month was to hit 195. I'll weigh in on Sunday morning and see if I managed it. My family has the stomach flu, and while I haven't thrown up, I haven't been able to eat much today. So if I do get down to 195 I'm not optimistic it'll stay off. We'll see. :)

Another 1.6 lbs loss. I think I've finally busted the plateau of gaining and losing the same 5lbs. I lost a total of 3.6 lbs for the month of March. Good luck to everyone. Day by Day, Pound by Pound!

Lou you realize it's water weight right, because there is no way you ate that many calories, just drink plenty of water stay away from complex carbs and eat clean should be back down tomorrow. However it can take a couple of days to rid the body of water retention. You just need to drink your water, it will realize you are not dehydrated and release the extra. If it was easy as calories in calories out we'd all be thin. However as we age hormones play into it as well as all the added stress of day to day life. You have to find your balance and work with it. You can do it. I was the same, hoping to see it go down but know I slipped up yesterday, too much chocolate... I know better too. Oh well new day new challenges. Have a great Thursday.

LLOU - that is such a drag...hopefully its a fluke. Stupid Scale!! I am gearing up for a fitness focussed weekend - and no drinking. I've been really upping my rate of exertion - to the net level. Hopefully, I will continue to progress towards my March goal and the June goal.

Arghhhh! The "joys" of daily weights. Today, I suddenly gained 1.4 pounds for no apparent reason. All I can do is hope that I suddenly lose it again (for no apparent reason) tomorrow or the next day. I was making slow, but steady progress this week ... then suddenly BAM! Frustrating. SW = 156.6 CW = 156.6 GW = 154

I like the "weight decade"!! Great job. 2/28 = 156.4 3/12 = 154.6 3/21 = 154.4 3/27 - 153.8! WHOO HOOOO. GOAL 3/31 = 153 Maybe tricky to keep it there the rest of the week. But I will do my best. Today was Ripped conditioning, and sitting here I just realized i didn't FFWD to do the ultimate abs afterwards. OOOPPPS. Lunch walk today as well. Few more days to finish this challenge. Great job on eating clean, I was a little naughty had some almond cake which is so yummy but for whatever reason (the sugar)I get so sleepy after one small bar. I know she uses all organic ingredients so it could have been worse. Might not even be sugar in it knowing her. Anyways other then my hiit in the am and some walking I was done for the day. I'll be so glad to cover Tuesday class the next two weeks, one week off two more weeks than should be the regular instructor from here on out on Tuesdays. Woohoo. I have class tonight lower body and plan to train hard then work the arms some more for rep count, have my next virtual meet Arpil 6th. Weight was the same today, better than up. Be good have a great Wednesday.

Great workouts ladies:) Spin class and weights for me tonight. I ate really clean today. Packed my lunch. Skipped the bread at dinner out tonight. Ordered the greek salad dressing on the side. Broccoli steamed and only 3oz of my husbands 8oz prime rib. no wine...usually I have wine at this place. I think I get an A+ for skipping red wine with prime rib!

Got up and got my hiit in with some other low impact variety. I was still tired from yesterday's upper body kettlebell routine and that's after going to bed at 8 pm last night. I really pushed the weight in class to hopefully continue to build the muscle I need to compete. I plan on getting in some two handed swings tonight as well to keep working on core strength and grip strength. Going to shoot for 300. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. Also down a bit again this am, woohoo.

The last ten pounds are hard to shake LLOU ~I like your idea of a different work out to change it up...I am the oposite of you and the weekends are my challenge. Last nights work out was a bear - I don't think I had enough food (energy) ahead of time to sustain my workout - I am going to add a complex carb/lean protein 250 cal snack. This routine takes a lot of planning Make it a great day!

As usual, my eating was very good over the weekend, but it has slipped a little now that the work-week has begun. I'll be within my range on calories (but on the high side) -- but I ate way too many carbs. On the exercise side, I have ordered a couple of new exercise DVD's, and the first one arrived today. I am hoping that changing my exercise up a little may help me get off this plateau. They are based more on ballet and pilates than my previous routines. Hopefully, they will be a way to change things up without over-stressing my old, tired body. SW = 156.6 CW = 155.4 GW = 154

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. COmputer crashed and trying to get it back to working order. HATE THIS!!!! Yesterday I did do cross core combat. ALso had a piece of cake and ice cream that my hubby and kids made for me yesterday. But made chicken stir fry for dinner. We will see what the scale does in the next day or so. Since I know what else is coming later it will be going up because of that as well. Beckie

SW: 143 CW: 140 GW: 138 I can't believe how motivated I have been for a little over a month now. I am trying to keep that going, because I know how easy it is to wear off as it has happened to me many times over the last few years. But yesterday marked exactly one month since I quit soda and I finally feel mostly free from the addiction of caffeine. I do still think about soda once in awhile and crave it a bit but I know it would probably taste funny now and I'm not willing to find out. I don't like coffee so if I want a little caffeine I just drink some green tea and that does the job. Probably won't hit 138 before the month is over but that's ok. I still feel majorly accomplished!

Very happy to see a loss this week. I went over a little on calories Saturday and Sunday but I was expecting that. It was a busy weekend with a BBQ and a wedding. I skipped dessert, which is something I never do, at the BBQ because I knew I was going to have a piece of wedding cake that night. I did so much yard work on Friday I probably burned over a thousand calories. Good workout and the yard is beautiful. MA_DIDDLES: great weight in! congrats! you must be so happy! the last lb for me was looong and hard! i know plateau would hit at some point, but, when it actually did, it was no fun! 2 wks seemed like forever... i thought the scale was broken.. :-) this plateau thou, i did something different. rather than running around crazy up the workout like a easter bunny, or eat less (which i dont want to do since i normally eat pretty healthy and nutritionally balanced), i told myself to relax and learning to be kind to my own body and let it "re-calibrate" as needed. no more self loathing. too much of it in the past already. time to treat my own body like how i would treat my best friend. probably not gonna lose 5 lbs this month like i had planned for. But, 3 lb is just fine. Beckie, thanks again for setting up Apr challenge. during my plateau dark hours, i had come many times to gain strength from this board, seeing everyone working out and keeping it going. keep up the great work everyone! one more week! yes we can do it! lb by lb by lb.

Yesterday 4 mile run/walk Today was a 45 minute spin and then 60 weights to music class - I have been doing a three day detox....today is the last day... I am hoping to weigh in Monday morning with some results - I have deffinately made the effort in diet and fitness last week. SW 139 GW 137
