Wow, only three weeks left. I can do 100 pushups with a 90 second rest in the middle, so I think I'll get there on that one by my birthday - maybe just by slowing down! Not going to make it on the other two. I still reach failure on the single leg squats pretty quickly and I want to keep working at it. And I just haven't been on top of the training with the assisted pull-up machine. I said I was going to post my weekly counterweight on the assisted pull-up machine, but I don't even make it to the gym once a week to use the machine. I'm SO much more diligent about the goals that I can work on at any hour of the day in my own space. Anybody with advice that's worked for you on overcoming that hurdle?

In the meantime, I'm going to push for finishing the pushups challenge by my birthday, and rather than give up on the assisted pull-up or pistol squats, I'm going to reset the goal date from my birthday to my first anniversary with my boyfriend: I'll have those down by November 22!

Startling weight Jan4/15: 159.4
Jan. 8/15: 162.7 emoticon (+3.3 lbs!)
Jan. 9/15: 162.7 I did pretty well food-wise yesterday but only walked 24 min.+ in my house
Jan.14/15: 160.3 emoticon (-2.4 lbs) eating more reasonably, buying from grocery now, incl. meat so making smaller portions to save $ PLUS walked outside twice in 3 days, 44 min yesterday, amazing as I've been a shut-in all winter afraid of the cold. I'm going to keep this up and have joined the 90 Day Low Carb Challenge on these boards though I'm not starting til my cupboards are empty of pasta, etc as I'm not rich enough to throw out food.
Mar. 3/15 160.3 disappointed I didn't lose as I burned around 2200 calories in exercise last week.
Mar.10/15 156.7 emoticon I was 160.3 yesterday, as usual, despite burning my 2 lb loss per week goal of 2160 calories and being off Activity Tracker Gold by only a few steps 2 weeks ago and getting Gold last week. But yesterday I backed off the exercise and ate 1/2 portions at lunch and supper (lunch was a tuna salad) and no toast for breakfast tho i never butter it, as since Thursday. I also didn't get my water in yesterday, maybe water loss weight overnight, but i got a long, long uninterrupted sleep, not broken up as usual.

emoticon GREBJACK! So sorry to hear about your illness! That's horrible to have such a bad stomach bug!

I've slipped a little back on the workouts (walking) too, but still more than usual. I have, however, cut way back on food - about 1/2 of what I usually eat. My weight is up a lot from last week which was way less than my average plateau of so long but it's still a bit less than plateau weight. I certainly feel lighter and have some hope, though my birthday is less than 2 months away - yipes!

Ugh. My weight is way down, below where I want to be, after 7 days of the worst stomach bug I've ever had. No workouts, just lots of sleep and fluids. Fortunately, I have recovery time. Birthday is three months from now.

GREBJACK - how are your goals going?

Startling weight Jan4/15: 159.4
Jan. 8/15: 162.7 emoticon (+3.3 lbs!)
Jan. 9/15: 162.7 I did pretty well food-wise yesterday but only walked 24 min.+ in my house
Jan.14/15: 160.3 emoticon (-2.4 lbs) eating more reasonably, buying from grocery now, incl. meat so making smaller portions to save $ PLUS walked outside twice in 3 days, 44 min yesterday, amazing as I've been a shut-in all winter afraid of the cold. I'm going to keep this up and have joined the 90 Day Low Carb Challenge on these boards though I'm not starting til my cupboards are empty of pasta, etc as I'm not rich enough to throw out food.
Mar. 3/15 160.3 disappointed I didn't lose as I burned around 2200 calories in exercise last week.
Mar.10/15 156.7 emoticon I was 160.3 yesterday, as usual, despite burning my 2 lb loss per week goal of 2160 calories and being off Activity Tracker Gold by only a few steps 2 weeks ago and getting Gold last week. But yesterday I backed off the exercise and ate 1/2 portions at lunch and supper (lunch was a tuna salad) and no toast for breakfast tho i never butter it, as since Thursday. I also didn't get my water in yesterday, maybe water loss weight overnight, but i got a long, long uninterrupted sleep not having to get up to go to the bathroom, lol!

GOAL MAY 7/15 = 123 lbs
Weight : (away from scale for holidays and gained about 10 lbs on vacay)
I was supposed to reach this weight the day before my birthday LAST year.
We'll see!

Jan 4. Back home. Forgot to weigh myself first thing in the morning but I've obviously gained @ 7-10 pounds in 9 days at my mother's.

After being away from home for most of this week, I'm just further behind!

Haven't done pushups since I was last home. Likewise the pistol squat progression and the assisted pull-up machine.

Wow, I think I lost some ground this week.
only 37 pushups today of my 100 pushup goal
I can do 12 uneven squats, so I've started the seated pistols, which I think are easier than the uneven squats, so I'm doing both
didn't make it to the assisted pushup machine this week.
weighed 140.5, just over my goal weight of 138

Okay, I'm in, but for a weird way to set the weight goal: I want to stay where I'm at while putting on a bunch of muscle. On my birthday (June 16) I will be able to do 100 pushups, some pull-ups (I'm not sure what the goal number should be), and some pistol squats, but my weight will still be 138. My reward will be to have my body fat professionally measured. I will post weekly my pushups to failure, where I am on the pistol squat progression, my counterweight on the assisted pull-up machine, and my most recent weight.

I lost 20 lbs. for the month of July! I am so excited! I know each month hereafter will not be as much since I just started this new lifestyle on July 1st and I usually lose more the first week than any other time. However, I believe I can lose at least 8 pounds a month hereafter and I will definitely take that!

Hi everyone! I have decided that I am going to be serious this time and lose all this extra weight I'm carrying around. My birthday is May 4th and I'm pretty sure I can lose 75 pounds by then. That's less than 2 pounds a week which is very doable. Maybe more than that, but I would definitely be happy with 75 pounds gone! emoticon

Back in 2006-2007 I lost 90 pounds and over time since then, I have gained all but 20 pounds of it back. I know I can do this if I just put my mind to it. emoticon

I am going to reward myself for reaching small goals. Maybe for each 10 pounds lost. I believe this helps when I'm tempted.

Well my birthday is in few days but as of today I am 255.7 lbs and I am setting my goal is 215 lbs on Jan 1, 2015. My ultimate goal is 175 lbs by July 2015.
