I'd really like to try this challenge! I need to get back on track with SP, like, yesterday! Lost about 13 pounds for my wedding in June, and I have been gaining and losing the same six pounds ever since. Now I'm trying to make sense of all the methods I've used before, trying to stick with low (mind you, not FREE OF) carb meals (minus my weekly ladies time...I know alcohol doesn't help with my diet, but a few glasses of wine is going to be my splurge....) and portion control.

I've also decided to try setting little short term goals. For instance I'm going on a long weekend trip at the end of October. Being four pounds lighter by that point would definitely get me mentally motivated.

Just started a book, The Happiness of Pursuit....So my Quest is for Wellness and it includes the gym, weights, water aerobics and getting some weight off.
Because I joined the Y, I canceled my WW monthly pass....too much for the two memberships. One of the reason I also went to WW was for the social aspect...but I have that at the Y. The support in SparkPeople is great.
My goal is 1 lb a week but it will more likely be .5 a week. I have a November appointment and want to have a good 5 lbs off by then.

Disaster! I am getting very upset about this. I was successful at losing weight for a couple of years ... and now I can't seem to stop gaining it back. Over the past year, I have gained back 12 pounds! And I can't seem to stop it. My behavior has not been perfect ... but I have increased my exercise and I eat less than most people around me.

It's time to consider more drastic measures and I don't want that. I want to live a normal life and not have to "be on a diet" the rest of my life.

Stayed the same this week. I hate to have to admit it, but I actually relieved that at least I didn't gain any. I've been really struggling for the past few months and need to turn things around. Maybe this week, I can lose a little.

NEED help!!! Have had a rough summer! My goal is 245lbs., or less for August

My long term goal is to get down to 155 lbs. especially for my 30th class reunion, in 2015.

10/9 2010 = 192 (Joined SparkPeople. Got down to 177, but re-gained yet again.)

This whole year has been a disaster for me. I have "fallen off the wagon" and am struggling to get back on. I am doing well on the exercise side of the equation ... but I am eating too much. I am becoming the poster child for the old saying, "You can't out-exercise a bad diet."

7/20 update: My weight was down a whole pound this morning. So maybe yesterday's weight was a bit misleading -- at least that is what I am hoping.

I was pleasantly surprised to see a loss this week. I didn't think I had done that well this week. I guess it is my body re-adjusting back to normal after spending all last week on vacation.

10/10/06= 203 (Lost 40, but re-regained most of it due to illness, injury, & weak character)
10/9 2010 = 192 (Joined SparkPeople. Got down to 177, but re-gained yet again.)
1/1/12 = 186 (Got my thryoid under control and had a great 2012. Lost 28 pounds!)
1/5/13 = 158.4

1/3/14 = 153.2
2/1/14 = 155.4
3/1/14 = 155.4 (Not as bad as it appears. New scale weighs heavier than the old one.)
4/5/14 = 155.4
5/3/14 = 157.2

6/8/14 = 156
6/13/14 = 157

Oops! I went backwards -- and gained a pound

Going to start over because I am no longer going to be going to weight loss class to be weighed. Will just use my scale at home.

SW for 6/1-251lbs. (I retain water bad!) this is 6/3 and I am down 6lbs.?

6/5-242.8lbs.
6/12-243.5lbs.
6/19-252lbs.(WHAT?)
6/26-246lbs....not good but MAN I retain! Hoping for a better month!
