Hello everyone. I finally set up the challenge for the burn 600 calories Mon-Fri challenge.
You will find it under the following title:
"Burn 600 Calories per day Mon- Fri (Jan 02-Feb28)"
I made it for two months only as we may wanted to try and burn more calories once everyone gets into to the swing of things.
Let's do IFFILAYO proud by burn some serious calories!!!

Today I did 166 minutes and burned 2440 calories today.

I'm doing the Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone. Doing the 2 mile walk until I get clearance from my Doctor after heart tests.Good way to get back into the exercise routine. Having a fun and inventive time with keeping within the 1200 calorie a day range. Did you know that you can eat a whole bag of the steamables broccoli and cauliflower for around 100 calories and wow that's filling.Add a boneless skinless chicken breast and that is a meal.Hope everyone has a healthy and Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. Well, I started slow, walking the dog around the neighborhood. 68min = 548cal I think I have blisters on my feet now,... so tomorrow, must bring the elliptical back in the house for use.

WOW! Great Job everyone! Happy New Year! You are all sure starting it right! I am taking today and tomorrow as my last two days of rest. My cold is still sticking around which is doing flip flops with my breathing. I am determined to start back up Sunday regardless...my body will just have to keep up! LOL...I probably burned major calories last night though...the ER was crazy! Hoping tonight is better, and I am off tomorrow so I can rest up for Sunday. I promise to take my nephew to the park tomorrow (cold or not) so I will burn a few there too but I am not counting them. Watch out Sunday! I am back full force!
My goals for 2010 are to burn more calories and eat really well! I want to build up to running. I have bad knees (and the run in the family) so I have to build up slowly. I can do a few minutes at a time, so I am doing it in intervals to build myself up. I will run a full 10K by the end of 2010! I should be at my goal weight by May and then its train train train! I want to be able to do the Breast Cancer 3 day in 2011...60 miles in 3 days! I've come this far...there's no stopping me now!

OK had my fun these holidays, they are gone..and I am BACk, destined to be 150% better this year and this isnt a new years thing..well, not really... ok today..30 min leslie sansone high cal burn 2 mi..411cals and 40 min elliptical 725..so shocking to see that my elliptical is on the nose with my NEW heart rate monitor..but there it is and early yet..woohoo!! total 1136 cals burned today.. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!

I am working towards 5K's this Spring, 10K's this summer, and Half Marathon's this Fall. Then the Marathons for next year I think. Will have to see how my bodies holds up hehe. I put in two miles this morning at a 10min mile pace and felt pretty good. I could have gone much longer, but i want to get into running shape a little slowly so my tendons and ligaments and such have time to adapt.
This morning did 51 minutes between running and elliptical and burned 866 calories. Will be looking for the January post as soon as it gets put up!

Hello everyone,
I'm so excited for the new year and what lays ahead for all of us I can't hardly wait for it to come.
I just finished my workout I did 155 minutes of cardio and weights and burned 3229 calories.
Opuslover, Do you have a goal in mind once you get back to your former running self? 10km, half marathon or full marathon?I just started to run again (bad knees and all) I'm hoping to be able to run 5km by summer taking it very slow I have ruined my knees from all the sports I did when I was younger. My Ortho wants to do this major procedure to fix my knees that would put me out of commission for 3 years but I'm holding off.
Careyann, Hope that the ER is not to busy.
I want to wish all of you the best in the new year to come and may all of you obtain your new goals (don't like the term new years resolutions).

Thanks 2bg2ft! You are great! I am so excited to start January off right! These last two weeks being sick have not been fun, and my body is aching to get back in my routine! I am up for the 600/day challenge, and my personal goal is stil 5000 calories a week which is almost 700/day! You all inspire me, so thank you!

Yeah 600 works for me, I will be traveling a lot the next 6 or 7 months, and 600 should be a minimum I should be able to hit.
This morning's workout, 45 minutes 752 calories burned on the elliptical. Wish me luck for tomorrow. Tomorrow I start running again (I have not ran since college, but was a pretty good distance runner back then (before I put an extra 180 lbs on)).

Opuslover, I had a wonderful time catching up with her. There were some revelations that were brought to light last night about our childhood that opened my eyes to how you never know what is happening in someone's life. I guess I would have to say I appreciated seeing her again but was sad because of the things that happened in her life that have caused her some hardship now. But she's working through it. It makes me appreciate the way things have progressed in my life amd the only demoms that I have to fight are weight.
CHANTEL_LOUISE, The only accurate way to track calories for strength training is to use a heart rate monitor.

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas! I caught the worst cold ever the day before Christmas, and I am still very sick! No energy to work out...I am hopeful that I will be better soon. I finally got a new computer so my goal is to get my but moving again!

You all are doing amazing! Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! My computer crashed at home (its gone for good this time), and I went to my parents to help them finish packing everything up (they officially move next Monday)! BUSY BUSY BUSY! I haven't done as much with my workouts as I had hoped in my day off, but moving boxes and the back and forth I burned a few but I didn't count them....I did workout yesterday, burning 1125 calories, but nothing today. Looking forward to next week when my routine gets back to normal!
If I don't make it back on before then, Merry Christmas to all, and Happy New Year! I am really really looking forward to burning 600 calories a day in January! my 25 pounds is going up to the 30s next month!

stilllosing I hear you it can be a challenge to get back into the swing of things but don't give up working out is just like riding a bike it comes back to you.
I'm trying to get in as much cardio as possible before my gym closes for 4 days. So I did 205 minutes today and burned 4343 calories. I'm wiped so I'm going to go to bed talk to everyone tomorrow.

hi everyone,
Just finished my workout it's a lot harder to burn the same amount of calories at home as it is at the gym. I'm just glad I actually did something regardless of how many calories. I did 90 minutes on the bike and burned 1238 and did a step interval for 30 minutes and burned 357 calories.
I'm finished for the day and will do more tomorrow at the gym.

Hey Jomomma nice to here from you I missed you and I know the feeling I get the same way when that wonderful friend comes to visit it's a blessing and nightmare all at the same time.
Opuslover, your mistress has treated you well, do you loan her out?
I just came back from the gym and did 90 minutes on the stepmill (which I like to refer to as the deathmill) and the ellipitcal. I burned 2265 calories. And Jomomma you have inspired me, i'm going to join you tonight and ride the bike during the UFC in honour of you. Will report back later.

OK...havent been on in two, count em', 2 days..legs just getting over soreness and you know excuses..ear infections, pms..blah blah..what can i say..d. all of the above..I did walk for HOURS yesterday, about to clean the house from top to bottom and will report numbers tonite for elliptical..(i usually get a good one in as ufc is on i think or boxing).. OPUS..a fellow beatle lover...fantastic..we are everywhere! as for your mistress, hilarious, i am getting stale on mine! hee hee!)

35 minutes this morning 600 cal burned on my cruel mistress, the elliptical. Lot's of shopping today and walking, wont log it, but it is gonna add up hehe

I may have an addiction to working out I just did an hour on the bike, but it was to keep my husband company while he did his workout.
So I did an additional 65 minutes and burned 956 more calories. I'm done now going to bed.
Have a wonderful Saturday and looking forward to hearing what everybody does tomorrow keep up the great work.

You are all a true inspiration! I feel like I have been slacking, but I know I will make up for it! Long nights at work, and not much sleep, but I am off for 3 days (starting tomorrow morning), so I will get a lot done between now and Tuesday! I am helping my parents move tomorrow, so I am sure I will be burning some there! You all ROCK! Keep up the great work! You keep me motivated!

LARYSSAART, don't beat yourself up. Part of what they teach us here is that we can still have the treats as long as we do it in modertation. Your workout out that you did already provides you with a deficit against the bad calories. So don't worry you will get back on track and pull big numbers.

UGH! I'm really feeling sluggish today - most of this week actually. And there is holiday food everywhere at work and lots of parties. I've messed up all ready today with some holiday food. gonna get back on track and try to fill the rest of my day with whole foods - fruits and veggies.
elliptical - 36 min = 600 cal. strength training for 30 min after work. that's all for today.

Okay I was naughty last night I didn't ride the bike like I planned but I did make up for it today. I'm currently off from work so I was able to put in 165 minutes of cardio and was able to burn 4150 calories today. I'm trying to get in as much cardio at the gym as I won't be able to get there over the holidays as they are closed for 4 days. So my numbers are going to decrease dramatically next week.
I'm going to go and eat something before I pass out. Have a great night and talk to you tomorrow.

Good job everyone - you guys seriously rock.
yesterday i didn't post - i didn't do much cardio - i did 35 min of strength training and walked for 20 min.
today i'm back on the cardio: walk 30 min - 161 cal yoga 30 min - 159 cal elliptical 60 min - 861 cal
total of 1181.
i'm doing well - but those of you who are blowing out 1500 cal plus a day?!? holy cow! that is just amazing. i'm going to make it a goal of mine to do that this saturday. i'll have enough free time for sure then.
