I would suggest that you aim for around 1200-1400; with a goal of weight maintenance until you can return to your exercise plan.

Perhaps focus more on upper body workouts with approval from your health care provider.

I've pulled a tendon in my knee and was told not to do any exercise (using my knees) for at least a week. I usually eat around 1400 calories a day. Since my movement is limited, would it be better to aim for 1200?
