Unfortunately, diet pop also has a lot of harmful stuff in there, even though it is pretty delicious! I only count water as water (since tea is a diuretic). If you want more delicious tasting water, a few friends of mine swear by fruit infusers for their waterbottles -- handful of raspberries or a few slices of lemon and it makes a huge impact on taste if you aren't keen on H2O!
Personally, I only count water as water. But if you're drinking something that doesn't contain things that are going to dehydrate you, like caffeine, sugar or sodium, then you could probably count it as water too!
