I too encourage a visit with a Registered Dietitian.

What can also help is to start a list for each food grouping, and start writing down the foods you "can" tolerate in each group. These are your daily go-to foods---from this list you can then create meal plans. You should keep these foods in your pantry all the time. Start developing meal plans and recipes around these foods. (you basically will have your own, personalized recipe book.)

For example, your groupings would be:
Meat/protein: fish, peanuts, pecans, walnuts, egg, beans, lentils, etc...
Fruits: apples, grapes, pears, etc
Veggies: carrots, peas, celery, etc
Grains: rice, quinoa,
Dairy: soy milk, rice milk, soy yogurt, soy cheese

A registered dietican would be able to help you identify types of foods/cuisines that will work with your intolerances. With that many, your doctor should be able to give you a referral that would make the visit covered by your insurance. Off the top of my head, Indian/South Asian cuisine might be able to accommodate you pretty well.

Head to Whole Foods or a similar store and check out the gluten free(wheat-free) options available. A large portion of individuals who are gluten intolerant are also intolerant to other items such as whey, dairy, etc... many brands are careful to not include common intolerant ingredients such as this. The flour is often made from potato or rice flour.

Look at common brands such as: Udi's, Rudi's, Glutino's, and Amy's Kitchen. They will provide you with a variety of staple foods like pasta, breads, crackers, pizzas, snacks, treats, etc.

Use these as your staple food at build on top of them. Make healthy sandwiches, or pastas. Add some fruit and a salad on the side

Your doctor should be able to refer to you a dietitian, who would be very helpful!

So my Dr. today said that I should probably get back on my food intolerance bandwagon. The problem is this... My major intolerances are Bakers Yeast, Cane Sugar, Whole wheat, Everything Citrus, Whey, Yogurt, Cottage cheese, Tomatoes, Amaranth, Spelt, Almonds, Oatmeal and Corn.

I am an Ovo Lacto Vegetarian who eats fish

Can anyone point me in a direction of where to start so I don't feel crazy? My head is already filled with every diet known to man thanks to fighting my weight most of my life... I just need some help starting -mentally- clean.
