I have a favorite candy or two for each of the major holidays, LOL! I usually try to find some right after the holiday when the leftovers are put on sale. I tell myself that if the supply is gone, then I wasn't meant to have any. I always buy candy that I can freeze. If it's frozen it's hard to gobble any and I tend to forget about the candy for weeks or months on end, so what I buy lasts a long time.
I bought a few bags of Hershey's Kisses with mint truffle filling at Christmas (that's the only time you can find them) and froze them. All but one bag are still there, so they'll last me for ages.
My favorite Easter candy isn't available this year (and wasn't available last, either). I guess that's a good thing, because I miss them (they freeze well, too!). They are Sour Patch Jelly Beans. If I had known that they wouldn't be around for the last two Easters I would have bought more than about 7 bags (they aren't large bags, either) and still had a supply left!

'Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- WOW -- what a ride!
