If you ever had Applejacks cereal as a kid, this tastes crazily like it.
1 cup vegan milk ( I use Dream blend coconut and almond milk ) 1 whole bananas (refrigerated) 1 whole date (optional) ½ whole apple, diced (I use applesauce, it's easier to blend) ¼ tsp cinnamon 1 cup spinach, fresh (I use baby spinach)
8 oz plain nonfat kefir 1/2 scoop chocolate casein protein powder 1 tablespoon chia seeds One cup frozen strawberries or blueberries Two cups fresh spinach or kale 1 tsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
I love this postworkout. Cold and refreshing, and the high fiber content makes it stick with me for a while. Some of the smoothie recipes that have sugary fruits or added juice just make me hungrier later so I stick with just berries for sweetness.
