I'd agree. Not that many calories. I don't like mushrooms so I often omit them. If the recipe calls for some other low-starch vegetable, like celery or green peppers or onions or something... I might add some extra of those, just to keep the same sort of "bulk" to the recipe.

I would just omit the mushrooms. Mushrooms are very low calorie. Only 16 calories in a cup of sliced mushrooms so it wont change the recipe much.

What do I do if the recipe calls for mushrooms, can I substitute something in its place or just omit? how will this affect calories, etc?
