Carbs have the most influence over your blood sugar levels, which makes proper portion control especially important for carbs....How much and what kind of carbohydrates you eat matter.

I try to eat foods with no more than 6 sugars per meal or snack, however each diabetic is different....As a diabetic and if you are worried about harming your body with sugar intake (as you should be).... speak with your health care provider, dietitian, nutritionist, or diabetes educator.

Maybe instead of counting grams of sugar.... use the blood glucose meter.. once you have determined how much milk or sugar or carbs you can eat then stay within those boundaries.

...test blood sugar 20 minutes after eating and then again in 2 hours....

Welcome aboard on this Journey to Better Health!! There's a lot of great features in the Spark website....but it certainly can't do everything for everyone.....

If you asking about TRACKING sugars, then no, Spark doesn't have that as a selection.
Has you Diabetic professional asked you to specifically track sugars?? Mine had me looking at Total Carbs--and a specific range for that--as opposed to the "sugars". This is because Carbs break down into sugars....So Spark works fine for me....

If you do enter a recipe into the Spark Calculator though, you can indeed see "sugars" in the Nutritional Info....

For instance, I just entered a "fake recipe" 1 cup flour, 1 cup brown sugar, 3 eggs, 1 cup milk: and for 10 servings get:the following nutritional info per serving:
*****************************************************
Calories 159.8

Total Fat 2.5 g

Saturated Fat 1.0 g

Polyunsaturated Fat 0.4 g

Monounsaturated Fat 0.8 g

Cholesterol 58.2 mg

Sodium 40.5 mg

Potassium 180.5 mg

Total Carbohydrate 39.3 g

Dietary Fiber 1.5 g

Sugars 30.7 g

Protein 4.3 g
********************************************************
All the best on your Journey!!
