You need to try and hit the minimum. Eating below that won't make you lose weight faster, and may in fact sabotage you, because your body will slow down your metabolism if you chronically undereat. Just like you need to eat below a certain amount to lose weight, you need to stay above the minimum to be healthy. Food is fuel, and your body needs it to function!

It all depends and you typically don't want to be going much lower - and not lower than your BMR. Cutting calories too low will cause your body to slow down to protect itself and your weight loss will stall.
I'm new to SP :) I'm trying to lose weight & am just wondering how important is it that I eat within the calorie range that SP suggests? I have consistently been eating fewer calories than the lower limit of the range (not on purpose) yet, the number of carbs, fats and proteins I have been eating are all within range. I was wondering how this could even happen and is it a big deal since I'm still getting enough carbs, fats and proteins?
