Great question! I weigh mine, too (after coring/seeding). I had a red and a yellow pepper, each about 6.5 ozs., tonight, and they totaled around 100 calories. So filling and tasty!

I love my kitchen scale so much. And I try to weigh things rather than use volume measures whenever possible. One of my biggest pet peeves is sources that give vegetable amounts in cups rather than grams (or ounces). Two different people measuring a cup of chopped broccoli are going to get two different amounts!

I agree with the scale. Almost EVERYTHING goes on the scale before it goes into my mouth. I love it!

This can really vary, as bell peppers come in a wide range of sizes! Though if you are stuck without measuring tools and have to eyeball it, i'd say your average bell pepper, chopped up, is probably about a cup.

A food scale is realllllllly helpful. I always weigh my veggies (and most other foods too).
