After much experimenting my daughter has eliminated more than 80% of her acne. She started by eliminating gluten which lead to some improvement, then sugar, some more improvement, then dairy and that made even more difference. She also tries to eat mostly organic but I frankly don't know how much difference that made. All in all a paleo diet worked for her. It was hard at first but now she enjoys the foods a lot. The transition took a few weeks. Join us on the paleo team if you want to find out more. You may want to try a whole 30 elimination diet. You'll find it if you google it.
You can talk to God all you want and that's great, but the changes happen when you start listening to him.
There are many causes for acne. I saw a dermatologist for my acne after not finding anything to help. On top of prescriptions she recommended using Cetaphil twice per day, morning and night to cleanse my face, then moisturize with vanicream or CereVe. The CereVe didn't work so I used vanicream. It will take some trial and error, but acne is a medical condition and should be treated as such.
an overload of stress can cause breakouts too. you may not think that you are overly stressed, but that was a contributing factor for my severe breakouts. Stress wasn't the only thing but it was one thing i overlooked as I was careful with what I ate, i cleansed properly, and I exercised.
Exercise could also be a contributing factor. I found the sweat on my face would cause breakouts at times.

Acne is a medical condition; contrary to popular belief, it's not caused by greasy foods nor too much chocolate. Only a dermatologist is really qualified to appropriately diagnose and treat the cause of your acne. It may be that you are simply genetically predisposed to it!
My cousin, who is incredibly active, eats a great, healthy diet, and has the most healthy lifestyle of any guy his age I know, has *always* struggled with severe acne. He has to be treated with prescriptions.

Accutane (the nuclear bomb of acne pills - 80% of people who take it see zero acne after) is basically a high dose of Vitamin A. But it also has a black box warning because it has been proven to cause very severe birth defects in women who become pregnant within a year of taking it and also an increased risk of suicidal thoughts. When I was on it, a regime was 5 months and every month in order to renew the prescription I had to take a pregnancy test (even though I wasn't with anyone) and answer a 20pg long questionaire. I've heard that the procedures have gotten even stricter since then because I was one of the 20% who would be prescribed a second course but the first one was too inconvenient to deal with anyway.
I used to exfoliate with Clinique's face scrub, then I saw the article about how the microbeads in face scrubs are not biodegradable and now poisoning fish. Now I use the Clairsonic brush. It's pretty awesome for a once-a-day regime.
As far as medicines, it's gonna be trial and error with a doctor.
I never heard of vitamins for it.
3 things I do know make a difference:
* make sure all products are non-comedogenic, must say so on package, this includes moisturizers and foundation, if you wear it. Non-comedogenic means it won't clog pores.
* diet - cutting out junk foods and processed foods. Eat whole and natural foods as much as possible, and drink plenty of water (sounds like diet advice, yeah?), but it helps. It helped me a bit to clear it up somewhat. Some people report a difference after stopping dairy..I dunno I love cheese too much. A lot of water does help - it helps flush impurities out.
* exfoliate 3x times a week with a gentle exfoliator (sp?), maybe more depending on problem.
I also use a toner made of apple cider vinegar and water (50/50 ratio) - every once and a while I just use straight rubbing alcohol.
Other wise, it's just gonna take time, and a doctor open to trying new things. You might try a product for 2 months, then have to try another, then have to try another...
The best exercise in the world is to bend down and help someone up.
I found in my life a solution that worked for me. It is Vitamin A. This vitamin is not a water soluble vitamin and can accumulate in your body tissue. That means that you could build up too much and it could be harmful. With that being said, I added Vitamin A into my diet when I needed it. I could see my skin become sensitive and getting ready to develop pimples. When that went away, I stopped the Vitamin A. I also found that 'bad' eating could cause pimples for me. If I overloaded on Chocolate, my skin reacted in a few days. Go figure. So, pay attention to what you eat and how your eat it. Then assess what effects this may or may not have. Make adjustments as you need to. Hope this helps more then confuses. Good Luck.

I had the world's most persistent case of acne (seriously 14 years, WTF?) and I have tried *every* *single* *product* on the market, both prescription and OTC. One thing I learned through that process is that acne treatment (like losing weight) is very much a process of trial and error. What may work for everyone else may not work for you. What may work for you may go against the "conventional wisdom" spouted in beauty magazines. Work with your dermatologist to a) figure out the cause (hormones, dry skin, etc) and b) come up with a treatment plan.

We can't really recommend products, because you need someone qualified to see them. You could have sensitive skin - we can't see that! You might have allergies - we can't see that! A product that suits one might make your condition worse!
Maybe you are OVER-moisturising, or maybe you are cleaning your face too often. There are lots of 'maybe's' out there. I think that your best next step would be to see your Dr and if need be, ask for a referral to a Dermatologist who is specialized in this sort of thing.
Make sure that you use your Nutrition Tracker, and weigh all of your food for increased accuracy and enter everything into it. When you go to your appointment, take some printouts from your Daily Reports. They may be helpful.
One thing that I WILL suggest is that you look at your nutrition. Are you getting plenty of fruit/veges into your diet? They contain loads of vitamins so make sure that you eat AT LEAST 5+ a day, and that you are eating a rainbow of colour, to ensure that you get a better balance of nutrients. Are you eating mostly healthy foods, rather than processed foods - particularly high in fats/sugars/sodium and white flour?
I am suffering from acne problem. My forehead is always spreaded with white heads or little acne. I donot knw what's wrong with my diet.what kind of diet one should follow. Is it because of diet or beauty products is the cause behind it. I am recently using Body Shop seaweed series.I can see dark spots on my cheeks. I do follow cleansing-toning-moisturizing routine twice a day. And I have big dark circles around my eyes with crow feet.
I just read the article basics of skincare.They have mention apply vitamins.Can anybody recommend a good moisturizing cream with vitamins mentioned in the article. I also exercise 4 times in a week.
