I weigh my pasta dry and then use that to figure out a cooked serving. For example, I might weigh out 8 oz (4 servings) of pasta. I then know that 1/4 of the finished amount (whatever that amount is) is one serving.

I cook for two of us. I cook for the week not just for one day. I line up food for the week so if something comes up I do not have worry about supper. I cook all of the meals that away I do not worry about salt. We go out to eat once a month only period.

I find it so easy to take raw pasta the size of a quarter before cooking....

Pasta the size of a light bulb is a portion size.... cooked. I add Broccoli or green beans to make the meal more dense.

Works great for me!

Weigh the pasta. A cup of cooked spaghetti is 140 grams (have a scale that shows both oz and grms.). Much easier. Once you've weighed it, you know what that amount looks like on a plate.

1 oz. dry spaghetti pasta = 2.5 oz. cooked pasta. Google how to measure cooked pasta.
