I eat the exact same breakfast: 1/3 cup steel oats with 1/2 cup almond milk, half a cup of water, but also add 1 tbsp of both chia and ground flax seed, some cinnamon, and 1 scoop whey protein powder. I'm full for a good 3 - 4 hours.
I am wondering if the lack of protein in your meal is the source of hunger??? Almond milk has very little protein? What about using soy milk or cow's milk (8 grams/cup). Nuts, seeds are another idea. Protein powder is another option.

I eat 1/3C of oatmeal with 1/2C skim milk and add 1 Tbsp of Flax and 1 Tbsp of Wheat Germ to my oatmeal and then top with banana or blueberries. I'll have it with one egg and it will stick with me for hours. There are some great recipes though for cold oatmeal (made with yogurt) that include chia seeds and one I found that is an energy ball with chia and flax seeds. I can find those links if you'd like the recipe.

I usually have old fashion oatmeal made with 1/2 cup of almond milk and 1/2 cup water and I add in some blueberries but it doesn't always fill me up. I wondered if adding some ground flax seed or chia seeds would help bulk it up a little. What are your thoughts on either of these?
