For me, water and fruit aren't going to chase away a binge. If anything, it just encourages it because it reminds me that I'm not eating pizza and chocolate. ;) Exercise helps more than anything else, in my experience, as does periodically indulging my cravings on a smaller scale, to avoid them building up to uncontrollable levels.

I'm aware of what I'm doing and tell myself how bad I will feel afterwards but that doesn't stop me. I'll try some of the tips mentioned. I started keeping track if my binges on a calender and really praise myself on days I don't binge. I started blogging on here after a binge and I think I might try doing that when I feel one coming on.

One day at a time.

If I can't talk myself out of it I go to the gym or go somewhere else (away from food) to get my mind off things. That works for me!

I find that a mental conversation with myself works. I try to remind myself how terrible I feel after it happens. It doesn't always helped, but it prevented a major PMS-fueled one a few weeks ago.

I drink water after water until the feeling subsides. If it doesn't then I get a light snack like an apple or grapes and see it that helps. What do you guys do?

I'm gonna climb that mountain. Ain't no body gonna slow me down. And there ain't no way around it. Gonna leave it level with the ground. -Reba
