I agree but when the members enter 1 serving and don't tell us the amount of 1 serving that makes it difficult. My favorites list is so big that I have to wait several minutes for it to load. I have found out that if you enter a change on an item it will post to the SP file but we cannot change anyone else's entries. Let me see if I can get information from SP tech support. Thanks for your input.

honestly i'm not sure how more input options for information would fix the poor data entry skills of sparkmembers. because that's the biggest problem. and if users are entering 1 serving instead of 5 oz or 1/2 cup already, they're not going to add in the additional information just because there are now new boxes to do so. a good deal of them are already not inputting all the info, so what's skipping a few more boxes? just like with the current system, the people who aren't fully and accurately entering are going to clog up the searches and it's still going to be quicker and easier to enter your own info.
if you're finding that your half cup of mix has been entered as one serving, it's easy enough to just do a little math to figure out how much you should enter. so if you used 1/4 cup of mix, that would be .5 servings or of you used 3 cups that would be 6 servings. that sort of basic math is easy enough.

-google first. ask questions later.

I find it easier (for me) to not bother with user generated food entries. I've seen wild variations on the same exact food, depending on the person(s) that entered it.

The best exercise in the world is to bend down and help someone up.

I have noticed that several of the members add the nutrition information from the foods they cannot find. They use Serving size of 1 serving. I have seen also some using serving size of 2 or whole can or some other term. That makes it impossible for the other members to use that information as "What is the serving size?"

I have asked if the program that SP uses to enter the nutrition information could have both forms of sizes IE Oz, Grams, cups, ETC. That way others that use one of the other measuring scales can use the information without having to re-enter the information again in the form of measure we use. I use a scale that can weigh in oz and grams but we find entering the information as grams or oz will allow others to vary the size of the food and get an accurate nutrition information for the amount of food you eat without having to re-enter the nutrition facts.

Can I get other members ideas on this topic Please.
