I love SP's recipe calculator too - I use it a *lot*!

But I also like the CalorieLab/Calorie Counter site. They have a great foods database that I will resort to if I can't find something here or am not sure of the accuracy of some member-entered items.

I don't think you can have too many tools!

I use the spark recipes option for that too, cause if it's something I make a lot I can save it to my recipes and put that exact thing into my nutrition tracker

It's fine for it to stay. Glad you like our calculator!

Well Goodness! haha, Sorry! I didn't find that. Didn't mean to put up a "rival" page, although, SP has this won hands down.

Clearly, I'm new around these parts and still getting my bearings. Should I delete this posting so I don't confuse anyone?

sparkrecipes.com is better because you can add your portion to your food tracker here on Sparkpeople!

You don't have to eat the whole thing.

I use the sparkpeople recipe tool, and it works just fine.

Following a LCHF way of eating since November 23, 2013.
This woe is the first thing that has truly made sense and worked for me. Having great success with it.

We have the same kind of feature on SparkRecipes. If you go to www.sparkrecipes.com and click on Recipe Calculator at the top, you can put in your ingredients and get the nutritional information for any dish :)

Hope that helps,

I saw where you could do conversions and find the nutritional content of single items or pre-packaged items, but not where you can input an entire recipe (homemade) and bring up a nutritional label. I didn't mean to direct off the page if there is already something like that. Where do I find this?

Oh, and I know the whole Calorie Counter site is similar to SparkPeople, but SP is far more fun. I was just searching for a way to find out the nutrition in a recipe my mother gave me.

I prefer to cook more than rely on pre-made or fast food. However, homemade food doesn't come with a nutrition label to make counting carbs/calories/fat easy. Well I just found a website that you put your recipe into and it gives you that information. It even grades your dish based on vitamins, cholesterol content, etc. Don't know if any of you already know about it, but had to share.

Oops! Just found out it's a no no to share links. Well, Google Calorie Count. It should be on top of the list. Then find the tab that says, "Foods". Hover your pointer over that and a drop down menu will appear. Click on "New Recipe" and it will take you to the page I want to share.

Enjoy!
