Many times plans include yogurt for protein and calcium. When looking to replace yogurt, there are many protein alternatives and calcium alternatives. It's interesting you say you are allergic to yogurt but not all dairy. For me, it's the other way around. Cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese, I can eat with no problem, but give me a glass of milk more than two days in a row and my skin breaks out like I'm in puberty again. (Trust me I am a long way from puberty!)
As others have said, there may be other types of yogurt that would work if it is the cow's milk yogurt you have a problem. with. If it's not worth the effort, such as if the taste doesn't work for you or something like that, substitute another protein source.

As others have noted, you don't have to eat yogurt to lose weight and be healthy. If you want to know one thing that you could eat (in place of yogurt) that would help you lose weight, it would be to increase the number of servings of fresh fruit and veggies you eat. Consider eating veggies like kale, spinach, Swiss chard, collards, romaine lettuce, etc. Dark leafy greens are nutrient dense.
If I were to go back in time and give myself one piece of advice that would help me lose weight, it would be to eat 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies.
Now, are you looking for a way to include more probiotics into your diet ? That's why many people eat yogurt these days i.e. because probiotics help aid in digestion. ZORBIE mentioned soy and coconut cream based yogurts. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's carry them. You should be able to find them at your local supermarket. Those might be a good option if you'd like to eat yogurt, but are lactose intolerant.
If the reason you eat yogurt on a diet is for the calcium (there are other ways to get calcium, but dairy is a handy way) and you want something similar (cold, able to be flavored with fruit), what I actually prefer is non-fat sour cream. Not low-fat, non-fat. I put some fruit preserves (you can buy low-sugar fruit preserves at the supermarket or just make something yourself) in the non-fat sour cream and find it very tasty!

Nobody needs to eat any given food to lose weight. Make your own "diet plan", based on the kinds of foods you want to eat for the rest of your life. Then the only complication is adjusting the amounts, and probably some tilting toward foods that are more nutritious and sustaining vs those that give nothing but empty calories that leave you hungry far sooner than they should. That's it.
All that said, if you actually like yogurt and would prefer to have it as part of your overall diet (though it doesn't sound like you do), there are plenty of alternatives these days. Most of them are easiest to find at health food stores.

besides having coconut or soy yogurts you could have the equivalent calories of cheese. or non dairy milk. or non dairy not cheese product. or a low cal hummus. or nuts, though you'll have to be sure to measure because portions of nuts are small. or you could have a small sandwich that you like. or a soup. really any food that you like that has about the same calories is what you can have in place of yogurt.

I have a co-worked that is also allergic to yogurt... but not all yogurt. She can eat yogurt made from goat's milk. It's something about the culturing process that causes her to have a reaction. Perhaps you can find some to try?
Also, a diet plan is all nice and good and convenient... but ultimately aiming for a healthy lifestyle is far better than using a 'diet plan'. The convenience of not having to plan everything out is nice but there shouldn't be a reason you have to follow it. Perhaps using it as a guideline? Unless, of course, your registered dietician or nutritionist told you to follow it. Then I would call that person and ask for an acceptable substitute since they are managing your plan and are really the only ones qualified to make an official 'diet plan' after meeting and individualizing a plan.
Oh and maybe try oatmeal for breakfast or an omelet or for a snack maybe some sugar free jell-o?

most diet plans include yogurt, and I cannot eat it as I am allergic. I am looking for an alternative to yogurt that could be used for a snack, breakfast or whatever. I have some dairy allergies, but not all dairy so I am not looking for dairy free...

If you are looking for breakfast suggestions there are tons of choices. Oatmeal or cereal,eggs, ww toast with peanut butter, fruit with any of those. I rarely eat yogurt myself so I'm not clear on why you feel you have to eat yogurt in order to eat healthy.

I am allergic to yogurt, and really would like a tasty alternative. I wish it wasn't so hard to find something I can replace yogurt with. I am really wanting to start dieting and becoming healthier, but almost all diet plans include yogurt...sigh...I really need help with finding an alternative to yogurt....
