have a burger tomorrow. don't head to the arches, make it at home. have the patty with mushrooms and swiss and bacon. you can have it on a full bun, half a bun, sandwich thin or bunless depending on how much you like the bun. be sure to add lettuce and tomato to it though.
for sunday, plan to have fries. get a potato and chop it into your favorite shape. lightly toss with oil and bake until done. if you must buy a bag of frozen, do so, but just make a serving of them.
what kind of sweet do you prefer? would a chocolate dipped fruit hit the spot? as in taking bar chocolate [not the whole thing, just a piece], slowly heating it until it's just the right dipping consistency and then dipping your fruit in it. would a piece of fresh baked bread with jam hit the spot? a piece of cinnamon toast? what about making your own caramel? perhaps with nuts? or fudge [which freezes wonderfully]? could you make a serving of kettle corn to hit the spot?
other options for the mushroom swiss might be sauteeing the mushrooms and adding them to a bed of vegetables [sliced zucchini, spaghetti squash] and topping with the cheese and bacon. you could even do little meatballs as well. you could also do a portabella pizza where the mushroom is the base, topped with spinach and swiss and a few crumbles of bacon.
