My rosacea has waxed and waned over the past several years. There was a few months that I walked around with my head lowered because my face looked sunburnt. So far the only triggers I have found are most facial products (right now I'm using Lush), more-than-lukewarm showers, alcohol, heat and exercise. One of my cousins gets flareups when she eats tomatoes, but they don't bother me. I am working more produce/antioxidants into my diet and hope that helps as well. It seems like it should, since it's an inflammation issue. I didn't have flare-ups during past health kicks, even with exercise - I went to the gym after work and my face was ok again the next morning so maybe the produce was helping.
You can disagree if you like since what I am writing is just my thought / opinion after suffering from eczema for almost 20 years. I know it is NOT the same as your condition, but possibly there could be a similar answer??? My eczema would wake me up at night and itch & burn, blisters under the skin, etc. Nothing topical touched it, nor solved my problem.
I was told by a natural-style chiropractor to begin taking 10 capsules a day of Immuplex for 3 months and it would be gone. He was right! I took 3 at breakfast, 3 at lunch, and 3 at dinner, each day and by 2.5 months it was completely gone.
For me, this showed an internal imbalance that this natural-type vitamin supplement by Standard Process "cured". That was 10 yrs ago. Now I just watch for stress that upsets my immune balance, and take no more than 2 capsules a day, about 4 days a week!
I believe that a lot of our poor health conditions ARE related to nutrition and different things the body needs that it is NOT getting. I also believe that many good foods today are lacking in adequate nutrition since so much soil has been depleted of natural health, and chemical fertilizers do not replace what our body recognizes and needs.
Keep looking and trying different things to see what might work for you! And remember that "natural" or "healthy" solutions often take 2-4 or more weeks to show the benefit. They are NOT instant fixes as one tries to correct imbalances in one's internal system.

No idea about a rosacea diet but I'm high on the veggie side of things and if I understand things that should calm the rosacea down, wrong nothings so far as calmed it down - most days its just a slight issue but when it flares its hot and the kiddies at the schools can be pains in their remarks to say the least.
has anyone suffered or is suffering from rosacea? well I am. I seem to have days where it burns. literally feels like my face and ears are on fire. what kind of remedies do you find that works? I read an article that changing your diet to the rosacea diet will help considerable. honestly it just sounds like what we should be doing anyway. chicken or fish. fruits and veggies. no fried foods. what do you do to help this? any suggestions are appreciated. thanks melanie
