I think that's why I failed so many times before. Anytime I hear the word "diet", that should have automatically trigger "restrictive eating". I should be able to eat anything I want. It's all about portion control and making healthier choices. I think the next books I'll buy, will be recipe books - lol

I have heard of it but don't like the idea of "cheating." For me there are no good or bad foods, simply some that I choose to eat more often and those I choose to eat less often. I am to eat real food, lots of plants, and less of it. Don't starve myself at all. If I over do it at a meal, so what? I get back on track at the next meal.

Over the last 2 1/2 years I've lost 80 pounds and feel great! You already bought the book so maybe you'll find some good tips.

Yep, I'm going to have to agree. I would rather just eat clean on my own and not be forced into eating on "schedule". The receipes were good though. Well since then, I actually completed a 21 day detox, taking natural vitamins and eating raw vegan. Yes, I did lose 11 lbs and felt and feel great. It taught me to be more mindful of what I am putting in my body. Now, I just need to be more active emoticon

Just another piece of diet garbage that is simply put out there to make someone money. There's nothing special about this, there's nothing utterly ridicoulus about this. It comes down to getting overall calories to a level that suits your goals, and whatever macros having you feeling the best there which will take a little trial and error for everyone.

Nothing wrong with not eating perfectly clean all the time, no reason to force yourself into a schedule of clean and cheat days. Dang, that just sounds like a recipe for being even more OCD about eating, not a solution.

Try to eat clean, you want a burger or candy bar? No problem. Realize you had that and go easier the rest of the day or the next day a bit. If you want

Christmas 2011- 200 lbs
Start of summer 2012- 170 lbs
September 2012- Made my goal of competing at feather weight for Bjj (under 149 with a little water cut)

Now I'm just trying to maintain around 152ish to leave me in easy cutting range. Also trying to relax and eat more like a normal person now, balancing enjoying life and staying healthy.

I've heard of it and did some research. It seems like a doable "lifestyle plan" so I think I'm going to do it. Don't have the book, but I got the rules and the eating plan. I was searched the message boards to see if there was a team or a challenge to coincide with it. I plan on starting it today.

I've heard of it, but I haven't read the book entirely yet. It's a pretty new book, so if anyone has tried it, they're still pretty new to the plan.

So, today is my 1st day on the 3-1-2-1 Diet. I hate using the word diet, because to me, my new way of eating is a lifestyle change. But, I bought the electronic version of the book and is very interesting. I've been sort of eating this way anyway, but now I'm more focused and aware of what I put in my body. Has anyone tried it yet?
