Absolutely not. I go over at least once every couple weeks and still lose consistently. It is the AVERAGE number of calories you intake on a regular basis that matters and how much you move your body...or don't.

No, and it doesn't matter if it's Burger King, either. Or an ice cream cone, or a slice of pizza, or whatever else you want to put in that list. (Unless of course like the other person said, you have trigger foods that make it harder for you to eat normally again the next day, and those named things are the trigger.)
This is a lifestyle. Unless you are going insanely over on calories, the only thing that really matters to your health and your results is what you are doing most days. Focus on that, you know? Make your everyday lifestyle as good as you can handle. Don't even bother thinking about once-in-a-month divergences. Worry when it's up to twice a week.
Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. I worry about you sometimes, you're so into rules and is this OK and is that going to hurt me and so on. It's really not that hard, not in that way, anywya.

As the others have said, one day isn't going to hurt if the majority of the time you are eating within your calorie range and focusing on making healthy choices most days. It's when you go over more days than you are within your range that you run into problems.
I think going over one day doesn't hurt, I personally do it once a week. Just to give my body a jolt. If you keep doing it, however, that then is what becomes the issue.
I also think it's what you choose to go over with. When I go over, I'm still eating healthier. My going over will include stuff like I ate 5 hand fulls of almonds which puts me over my limit, or I had 2 Kind bars, or I had an entire bag of popcorn, instead of a 1/3 bag. So yeah, I've gone over, but the choices I made are still healthier. I might have pigged out on a whole bag of popcorn, but it wasn't 10 cookies. Does that make sense?

We meet again. LOL I was just watching a motivational video yesterday featuring Sparkguy. In it he reminds us that we will eat something like 50 million calories in our life time. In the grand scheme of things what difference does it make if we eat 250 of those calories today instead of 20 years from now? So what if it takes an extra day, week or month to reach your goals.
Confucius says "The importance lies in the journey, not in the destination."
So what if you blow 1 meal or 10 meals. When it happens, acknowledge it, forget about it and move on.
Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels and looks.
It depends if you are on a short-term diet or on a life-style diet. If you are planning to eat a healthy diet for the rest of your life than one meal is not going to make a difference, assuming it does not make you much more likely to go off plan in the future. Birgit

One day isn't going to hurt. I actually allow for this sort of thing one day per 2 weeks. Sometimes I go longer, and occasionally it is closer. The rest of the time I tend to eat a little bit under my upper range. I lost a fair bit of weight that way, and I maintain (just on 3 years) that way!
