I wonder if this is a form of "sleep walking disorder?" I also wonder if, when you are next with your Dr, that you discuss this and the possibility of a sleep study, and also a check for Diabetes etc. to rule them out.

I am glad you have been in contact with your doctor about this, since increased thirst, night time thirst can be a sign of diabetes.

I too would be concerned about the quality of your sleep; are you getting into the restful deep REM sleep cycle. Inadequate sleep is now showing to be a major risk factor for heart disease, obesity, etc.

I drink a lot of water during the night too. The meds I am on make me thirsty. Unfortunately with all the water I drink I visit the bathroom a lot too! None of this is good for my sleep patterns but thankfully I am able to get back to sleep right away.

Those are some good questions-I drink a ton during the day-the docs assume that it's just side effects from some of my nightly meds giving me increased thirst.

I'd track it .... but why are you getting up at night to get water? Are you drinking enough water during the day?

Sure! Why not?

... but I would wonder how getting up throughout the night affects your sleep quality?? That in itself could bring on other issues.

Ok this may sound weird to you all-but throughout the night I get up constantly for water-I go through min 16 oz-32oz at night after I laid down...would you all track this on your tracker after you get up in the morning?
