sometimes the ingredients are not there so I would find it elsewhere and add it as a "my food" item.

Can't find "turnip", try "Turnips". Or rutabaga. Or rutabagas.

The recipe builder database definitely is a little less user-friendly for searching ingredients. But it's worth the effort if it's something you make often.

Goal 1 - break 200 (46 pounds lost)**DONE**
Goal 2 - leave obesity behind (BMI 29.9, at 185#) **DONE**
Goal 3 - BMI = Normal (154# or less)

started doing that, and then couldn't find a TURNIP in the database! didn't have time to go look up the nutritional value, etc., and thought there might be a quicker way.

I made a pot of homemade chicken rice soup, and searched to add it to my tracker. I found lots of different versions, at many different calorie and protein levels. How do I go about finding the specific ingredients of those different versions to select the one that's closest to mine?
