I like my "Happy Hour" and I refuse to totally give up something that I love because I'm trying to lose weight.. it would just be a recipe for failure because eventually I'd go back to my old habits.
So... my decision was to change my pattern rather than eliminate it..
- I seldom have anything but wine which is fairly low calorie.
- I have 1 glass instead of 2.
- I don't have one every day.
- If I 'indulge' with a Monte Cristo or more than one glass of wine, I just make sure I do a little extra workout, or walk a little more to compensate.
It's working for me, I've reached my first weight loss goal, and am now working towards another and still enjoying my happy hour.
