I would weigh the fruit (in ounces or grams) and then use a measuring cup to measure out the almond milk. The almond milk is a liquid. It starts off as a liquid and comes in a container with nutritional information on its label that says a serving is equal to a certain measured amount (in a measuring cup). So, use a measuring cup to measure the almond milk. So far as the fruit... Even though you are blending the fruit, it is actually a solid when you start out and then you are changing it into a liquid when you blend it...but, it doesn't come in a liquid form naturally and so nutritional information for fruits is based upon weight (which is why you need to weigh it).

Ok, thanks so much! I didn't realize the difference for liquids and solid foods.
I have another question. The way I'm eating my fruit is by blending it up in a blender with some almond milk, making it liquid. so should I go by the liquid volume for the right amount? I'm sure I'm drinking enough. I mix just enough almond milk in it for a thinner smoothie and probably about 2 cups of frozen fruit with it. That makes about 3 cups total almost. but I'm mixing this for my husband as well, he said he wanted about 10 oz.

My hubby's boss told him what he was doing to lose weight his small meals consisted of 3 oz. of chicken breast. is that 3 oz. measured out or weighed? wha'ts the better portion for healthy weight loss?
