an average of 1600 cal's is my maintenance level.
I have kept a spreadsheet of calories consumed for years, and would average them out at times. I figured out what I could lose on, and what I gained on. I generally average them every couple weeks to ensure that I am where I want/need to be.
I mostly eat around the low 1500's because I practice allowing myself one day per week to eat whatever I like, however having said that, it is often 12-14 days between that days. It is just KNOWING I can if I want to and I'm not depriving myself, that makes it much easier.
