Most shift workers do just use a 24-hour period. And stick to the same 24-hour period, day after day. (you pick the start of the 24-hours)

I say do whatever works for you. I track midnight to midnight since I'll work at most 2 night shifts a week. As long as you're being consistent about it, do whatever is working.

I work night shift so my day is different than a normal person. Is the best way to track items be having it be the day I wake up on or to count it as the next day?

Example: (Eat breakfast Sunday at 6 P.M.; eat lunch Sunday at 10:00 PM; eat super Monday at about 2:30 A.M.)
