We belong to a CSA at home, so we frequently make big salads with a wide variety of veggies--whatever we happened to get in our box in a particular week. Rather than deal with worrying about the specific amounts of each ingredient, I do as MissRuth suggested and just use the "tossed salad" entry for any parts that are things like lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, radishes, or whatever, and then I just itemize the more calorie-dense ingredients (nuts, cheese, croutons, dressing, etc.).
There is a generic "tossed salad" entry in the Tracker (drop the quote marks when you search for it). That would fit, for the low-starch vegetables in the salad. Then you could guesstimate on the higher-cal stuff like nuts and cheese.

Every Thursday I am involved in a 'salad' group at work. We all bring various lettuce, spinach, veggies, nuts and sometimes feta or blue cheese, throw them in a bowl mix and eat while sharing some group time. I do use my own dressing and can add that to my tracker but how do I list the salad itself?
