I use world finest whey protein in chocolate and in vanilla. I also drink High protein Boost too. I also use soy protein once in a while. I cant seem to get enough protein in my diet. I have low sodium that helps my levels.

Hello,

I like Mercola Pure Protein... it's a little high in carbs but it's also high in fiber. The whey comes from grass-fed cows, and has probiotics.

I typically use that and Garden of Life Raw Meal Vanilla, which is a vegan meal replacement... that one in particular gives me a lot of sustained energy and is a nice recovery meal after cardio.

I use EAS Lean 15. I started using EAS products years ago when I was on the Body for Life program. I usually add water, fruit and ice to the vanilla; and I add bananas and peanut butter to the chocolate. If I want more protein, I add Greek yogurt, peanut butter, almonds, etc. Sometimes I add spinach. I LOVE my morning smoothie.

I like Designer Whey's vanilla flavor. It is sweetened with stevia. Pretty good content nutritionally. I buy it at Trader Joe's.

Look at your nutrition tracker. Are you having on-going difficulty getting at least 60 grams of protein daily? Is there something you can do to boost intake---extra ounce of meat with dinner, few more beans or lowfat cheese on your salad, glass of milk with your afternoon snack.

If still under 60 grams on most days, you may want to try a protein powder supplement. You may prefer an unflavored one like (Beneprotein) which can be used in shakes, but also casseroles, soups, muffins, etc

I used to make shakes, but I never found a powder I loved. They were often too gritty (garden of life, Now foods), too sweet (Labrada nutrition) or had a yucky taste (soy isolate, Now foods). I would say the vanilla from Labrada nutrition was my favorite. It blended nicely, made a fluffy and thick base for my smoothies, and when mixed with frozen raspberries or other tart fruits/berries it was not too sweet. Now my go-to protein boost are small packets of dried cod-fish or Clif builder bars.

I get my protein powder at Lifetime Fitness. I use a scoop of the chocolate with some frozen berries and almond milk. (https://shop.lifetimefitness.com/Products/Nutritional-Products/Protein-%26-Meal-Replacement-Powder/Peak-Performance-Whey-Protein-Isolate/p/1265) however not sure if you can get the chocolate on line.

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has good recommendations for protein powder/protein drinks? I need more protein in my diet and really like whipping up a smoothie for breakfast but so many powders out there are full of sugars and other unnecessary stuff that I don't think would be contributing to a healthy lifestyle. There are sooo many options are there, I would appreciate any input! Thanks in advance!
