I have a friend who has tried that program and she became constipated and couldn't understand why.
When you remove all the good fiber from fruits and veggies a person doesn't reap the rewards of the fiber to keep the colon moving. When I was pre-diabetic I counted on fiber to keep my blood sugar balanced. Also because fiber and water are considered a diabetic's best friends. So is it healthier than eating whole fruits and vegetables? Probably not.
Just remember that juices from some fruits and vegetables can contain more sugar than you might realize, and this can add unwanted calories and lead to weight gain...berries have the least impact on blood sugar.
BTW, my friend is back to eating food!

I personally don't think it's healthy or realistic. The human body needs a variety of nutrients: fat, carbs, protein, etc. An all-juice diet is basically entirely carbs plus the juicer removes lots of the healthy, nutritious parts of the plant.
It's just not a realistic plan either. The human body is meant to chew solid food rather than ingest liquids exclusively.
Also my personal philosophy is that I won't do anything to lose weight that I can't see myself doing for the rest of my life. Permanent lifestyle changes lead to permanent weight loss. Temporary fixes, like a juice cleanse, will let you lose temporary weight.
You don't have to eat the whole thing.

I just watched FAT, SICK AND NEARLY DEAD and have never felt so motivated in my life! But it does seem a little harder than hard! Has anyone tried it with any luck? Is it as difficult as it seems? I am going to my doctors this week to see if its safe for me to do a one or two week cleanse on this. At this point I'm desperate and willing to try anything!
