No need to eat fewer calories than the range states. Just eat within the calorie range. Our SP calorie range may be a little too high for a few members. If you share your SP calorie range, I can give more input.

So when SP give you how many calories you should eat in a day, is that to meet your goal or just to maintain your weight? So as long as I keep at that calorie limit or under, I should be losing 1-3lbs a week?
