Please help me eliminate sugar from my diet. For some odd reason, I have been completely successful in totally eliminating ANY red meat from my diet for over two years, but I can not seem to stay away from sugar. I KNOW that it is bad for me, I know that it really is a poison; a drug and I know that I am suseptible to craving more as soon as I reintroduce it after having abstained for a while, but something draws me back time and time again. Can you provide me with some information and facts on sugar that will make me repulsed by the idea of it?
WHY? Why can I simply choose to avoid some foods and yet sugar has such a hold on me? I want to finally conquer this, but maybe I need some kind of mind game to keep me from letting it cross my lips. Like if I knew something really evil about it and what it is doing to my body.
I just want to get to the point where I can just say "I don't eat that" when it comes to anything sugar-laden, the way I seem to so easily do with red meat. I want it to really be my choice and I want to have complete control over it rather than the other way around.....FOR GOOD!
Have you been successful in controlling your sugar cravings long term? How? Help?
Though we cannot control the winds, we can adjust the sails.
