As far as I understand, there's nothing to "work" or not work, as it's not a diet in that sense, just a way of eating that's supposed to be particularly healthy for your heart. Predominantly plant-based, fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts, lentils, olive oil -- and most animal protein and fat comes from fish and shellfish as opposed to dairy or beef/pork/poultry. You can look it up on google if you're interested; there's tons of stuff on it.
