My opinion? We drink a lot more than we think when we drink sugary drinks, and when we start drinking water, we struggle to consume 8 glasses a day. So we are dehydrated. As I got used to water, I started to crave it more, and now drink 10-15 glasses a day. If you are thirsty, drink more water, and yu will eventually not feel thirsty anymore.
Another factor to consider is diabetes. Thirst is a sign of that, so you may want to get that checked, but if that is not an issue, I think you will find that the problem is that you just need to drink more.
