Even 1/2 tsp might be too much for one serving. I'd start with a drop or two, mix it up, move it away from where you poured, and smell it. If you can detect the smell, you should have a strong enough flavor. Maple extract IMO tends to be stronger than vanilla, but it varies a lot according to brand.

I would err on the side of caution and use 1/2 a teaspoon- taste it in the morning; you can always add more. I don't know if it's as strong as, say, almond extract.

I bought maple extract to flavor my overnight oatmeal, but I am unsure how much I should use. The only extract I have used is vanilla, and i usually use a teaspoon of it. I am not following a recipe or anything, I just thought it would be good.

Can anyone advise me?

Thanks in advance!
