I eat my nuts in oatmeal. I measure out a serving and eat only that. I take my measuring cup to measure what I need. That sure does help.

Love nuts but I try not to have them too often because of the number of calories and the amount it takes for me to feel satisfied.

I agree with Lucy!! Nuts are really, really good for you, but add up quickly. Portioning them out in a pretty bowl, and then walking away from the package is the best idea!!! :-)

I count out my nuts into a pretty, little bowl-- then I *close* the package and put it back in the cupboard before I eat them. emoticon That way I'm not tempted to add more! I enjoy the nuts from my little bowl and that's that. emoticon

I can't buy tamari almonds anymore... I could eat a cup at a time!

I really like nuts, too. Sometimes I'll break up my serving-- have half of a serving with my cereal, and then later eat the other half serving with a small apple. For me, it's important to eat each nut individually (and not just toss a bunch in my mouth at a time). They're calorie dense, so I need to savor each one. Because the truth is, we can get fat eating healthy choices; it doesn't need to be just fast food or sugary processed stuff.

I agree about portioning it out and paring it with another food item such as oatmeal with almonds or apple with almonds.

I love nuts, especially spicy almonds or any nuts combined with dried fruit. I have to pre-portion them or I'll easily eat at least two or three servings in a remarkably short period of time.

I admit, I'm overeating one of the foods that's good for me but in "light" moderation. I'll eat three portions of nuts and the calories just add up as I blink! It's difficult for me to stay on track lately. But, I'm not giving up on myself. I've decided to use my imagination and picture myself eating just a few, while I save room for some healthy, juicy, cold watermelon! That's not nuts, it's eating with appetite and satisfying my taste buds with healthy alternatives.
