Sometimes, I put off a craving for days, but my mind won't give it up - then I plan ahead for the and make sure that I've consciously decided to go for it.
Other times, I find something else to do for a while and I get over the craving.
If I'm craving something very strongly, it's usually from stress - I take a few deep breaths and find something in the fridge with protein - like low fat cheese - and eat it with a piece of fruit.
That usually works.
